Fantastyczny hotel! Położenie przy samym oceanie, bezpłatny shutlle bus do centrum Funchal, restauracja tematyczna ala carte, przepyszne jedzenie - urozmaicone i sporo owoców morza, all inclusive działa bez zarzutu - nie wiem która sangria lepsza czerwona czy biała. Pokoje czyściutkie funkcjonalna duża łazienka. Wieczorem animacje w tym portugalski folklor - pozdrawiam Filipa z recepcji który skradł show :) Obsługa na światowym najwyższym poziomie - Jeśli Madera to na pewno RIU. Widok z restauracji z tarasu sztos do potęgi. Niedaleko hotelu na końcu promenady można wybrać się na klif poza szlakiem.

Bel hôtel plutôt bien situé pour rayonner dans tout l’Est de l’île. Bon service et restauration diversifiée. Les spectacles proposés le soir constituent un plus. Les piscines sont également très agréables, et même si l’hôtel accueille un grand nombre de touristes, on trouve toujours une place pour soi.

just arrived back from this lovely hotel. this was our first time to Maderia. The hotel was spotless and the staff were so friendly and polite. the food and wine were plentiful . There isnt much that this hotel doesnt cater for. The hair dryers are powerful and courtesy rooms are available. If you run out of books you can get them from the area where the reps vacate. A very pleasant holiday, good value.

This was our 7th stay at this fantastic hotel which tells you everything you need to know about it and the amazing staff are what make it what it is. The location is in a quiet part of Caniço, a 15 min run from the airport and a 20 min free shuttle bus ride into Funchal, the beautiful city of Madeira. The rooms are spacious and well maintained on a daily basis. Beds are comfortable. The food is varied and plentiful with sufficient choice to suit all tastes. The reasonable wines served at lunch and dinner are regularly topped up by the attentive staff. The entertainment is of a good standard and some acts are indeed pretty slick and professional so are worth a look. As a rule, I don’t usually mention individual staff members but I will make an exception in this case. Duarte, who is front of house in the Kulinarium gourmet restaurant, is a great asset to this hotel with his professionalism and attention to detail. (This restaurant is a must - book in advance) Fernanda, Monica and Maurico in the main restaurant are a credit to this Riu as well, all of whom welcoming, friendly and extremely good at their jobs. We are lucky enough to have been able to travel widely and I have to say that these people are the main reason we keep returning to this hotel, as they are the best staff we have experienced anywhere. The negative reviews you may read are, in my opinion, not warranted so please give the Riu Madeira a go. We will certainly be back.

We have had a wonderful time - as ever at the Riu Madeira. The staff are so very welcoming and friendly and nothing is too much trouble, they go out of their way to please and everything is done with a big smile. It was my 70th birthday during our stay and my birthday was made very special by the staff so a very big thank you for the happy memories. The meal in the a la carte restaurant was exceptionally good and the service impeccable, a big thank you to Dinarte and the team, also the management. Our special friends joined us for the two weeks and they have said the staff make this hotel and we are proud to be class members of the Riu family. Looking forward now to our Christmas and New Year stay now when we celebrate in style. Thank you very much.

This was our 7th stay at this fantastic hotel and it certainly won’t be our last. The staff are what makes this hotel what it is and that is a friendly and extremely well run establishment, arguably the best Riu we’ve stayed in. For us, the location is perfect and the free daily shuttle bus that the hotel provides, makes the amazing capital of Funchal a 15 minute ride away. The food is varied and plentiful, with enough choice to suit all tastes. A decent selection of wines are served with lunch and dinner, and regularly topped up. The entertainment is watchable and some of the acts are even pretty good. I don’t usually name names at anywhere we stay but this time will make an exception. Duarte who fronts the Kulinarium gourmet restaurant (which needs to be booked in advance) is a huge asset to this hotel with his professionalism and attention to detail. Fernanda in the main restaurant, together with Monica and Maurico, make the whole dining experience an absolute pleasure. Séjour d'une semaine en famille. Superbe hôtel, propre, dans un environnement calme, avec un personnel super sympa et serviable (accueil, restaurants, bars, femmes de ménage...). Hammam, 2 piscines extérieures et 1 piscine intérieure (peu de monde). Possibilité de manger en terrasse du matin au soir. Possibilité de manger dans un restaurant gastronomique un soir par semaine. 1 cours de tennis. Bref, tout était parfait. Nous garderons un excellent souvenir de nos vacances ! Si je devais mettre un seul bémol : les chambres devraient être un peu mieux insonorisées pour éviter d'entendre ronfler notre voisin ! ce qui n'a pas perturbé mes nuits :)
