"When I first looked at the reviews, I was honestly a little worried, but this just goes to show that sometimes you have to take a chance. This place was amazing. It was very family-friendly, and the pools were great. The indoor pool was a delight on windy days when it was too uncomfortable to stay outside. The outdoor pools were very clean and well maintained. The water was a bit cold, but considering it was only May, I wasn't expecting it to be warm. The rooms were spacious and had all the basic amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The sea view was unbelievable, and the balcony was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the scenery. Yes, the rooms could use some updating, and the hotel itself would benefit from some renovations, but for the price, I would rate it 10/10. The staff were extremely friendly, and there was a good mix of languages spoken, which I noticed many guests appreciated. There are a few areas that could be improved. We arrived on Monday, and there was a magic show at 9:00 PM, which was fantastic for our two kids. We assumed there would be different entertainment throughout the week, but unfortunately, that was the only event during our stay. I think the hotel would benefit from offering more entertainment and activities to engage guests. The food options at the bar were somewhat limited, so that is another area that could be improved. The breakfast was excellent and definitely worth adding to your booking. Overall, I would say this hotel offers excellent value for money, and I would happily stay here again."

"Fantastic hotel! Location right by the ocean, free shuttle bus to the center of Funchal, ala carte themed restaurant, delicious food - varied and a lot of seafood, all inclusive works flawlessly - I don't know which sangria is better red or white. Rooms spotlessly clean functional large bathroom. In the evening, animations including Portuguese folklore - I greet Filip from the reception who stole the show :) Service at the highest level - If Madeira is for sure RIU. The view from the restaurant from the terrace is great. Not far from the hotel at the end of the boardwalk, you can go up the cliff off the trail."

"Very nice, small hotel with very friendly staff and a great location! Rooms are always clean and breakfast is good. The only downside was that our room was very noisy as it was right at the back wall of the kitchen and it was sometimes quite loud in the mornings ;)... but we were early risers anyway!"

"Great hotel! The room is fresh, clean, and what a stunning view of the ocean! Large territory, 2 pools, one right by the ocean. Parking is free, we always found a place (if you don’t arrive too late). Breakfasts are very good and varied, lots of fruits, different cheeses, and even smoothies. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel! We will definitely come back again."

"We went to the spa and pool as exterior guests. We got a couple’s massage - it was great, then sunbathed and enjoyed the other spa facilities (jacuzzi, indoor pool). Overall it was good - the spa itself is a bit dated. The staff was nice and we tried some great tea."

"Stunning little villas in a quiet location with very comfortable beds and a pool. We had the pool to ourselves on each occasion which was amazing. The owner was also really helpful and accommodating. We would definitely return to this location too as it was almost like we were in the countryside but it was near to everything.
