Basecamp Suites Canmore

Awesome location with lots of stuff to do near by.

I’ve stayed at a few different base camp locations in Canmore and I’ve been happy with my experience every time. This location is great and very easily walkable to nearby cafés and even to elevation place if the weather is nice! Check in and checkout is always seamless. Parking is only accessible through the back alley however but great to have a safe spot to park during our stay.

The location of the unit is the best we have stayed at in Canmore. Once you park, you can walk anywhere. Downtown. Grocery store. Restaurants. Inside the unit, the sheets and beds are clean, and the beds are super comfortable! However, in the guest bath, there was toothpaste on the facet and in sink and when I went to clean it and rinse the sink, there was a whole bunch of disgusting stuff that came out from the counter overhang of the sink that looked like vomit. Almost lost my lunch. The other problem is there is a major fruit fly infestation or something rotting somewhere. I suspect the drains but not sure. I killed about 25 myself. The wide open concept is great with a huge table that will seat like 10 but the couch only comfortably seats 2 as the cushions flip up in the middle leaving a large crevice that you can't sit on. In our unit there were some damaged cupboard doors that we just left closed so they wouldn't further get damaged. Lastly, it is a middle floor unit and the people that were above us were either heavy walkers or did aerobics in their ski boots. Either way it started at 0630 and carried on long enough to prevent going back to sleep. As a place to hang our heads in between exploring, it served its purpose.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at your location. Close to shopping and dining options. Only one issue, was our neighbours above us were heavy footed and we could hear them walking around. Other than that, it was great!!!

Very nice room, has a good amount of amenities and was very clean. Modern and updated, having a full kitchen and laundry was very nice. Hotel was super close to downtown and very walkable, we would definitely stay again.

The suite was clean, quiet and well equipped. Easy access to stores as well as to the highway.

Communication was easy and clear.

It was very clean, loved the hot tub and having a full kitchen. Our suite didn't have a parking stall so basically our stay was $24.00 extra per day as we had to pay for parking. Would be nice if something could be done about that. Better blinds would be nice as there was an outside light that was on all night and the blinds weren't dark enough. Other than those 2 things, we were happy with it.

We stayed in the 3-bedroom ground floor suite. The check in was smooth and we were sent the door code the night before check in. There's 1 free parking in the property right next to the suite. Any additional cars can do paid street parking but we went during off peak and -41°C so they let us park our second car at the Lamphouse Hotel for free which was a 5-minute walk. The location is right in the heart of downtown Canmore so it's perfectly next to groceries and restaurants and shops. The suite itself was very spacious and comfortable. The beds were soft and pillows were firm and soft. The kitchen was fully stocked. The smart tv had Netflix, amazon prime, YouTube, etc. Will definitely stay here again!
