Ankerview was recommended by South African friends and have to say their choice was brilliant. We had stayed in Green Point before and wanted to stay again. The location was great, the rooms - all ensuite were of a good size and always kept really clean. The garden was tiered on 3 levels, so gave "me time" moments, and a swimming pool, which the grandchildren absolutely loved! Neil was a very helpful and friendly host and the best bit of advice was to use Uber taxis as it saved the hassle of finding your destination and coping with Capetown traffic and very reasonable. Our "homehelp" and breakfast cook, Doris, was really helpful and coped with the many variations of breakfast requests and did it with good humour and never complained.She was great. Our ages ranged from 9 to 76 and we all had a great time

A warm welcome from Neil to this very comfortable guest house. Very clean, well laid out and easy to access. Honesty box for excellent wine selection. Well cooked breakfast beautifully served. We met a very diverse group of guests round the dining table - a real pleasure to stay here.

We had the pleasure to stay five nights in this cute guest house, which just came into hands of new owners Mely and Neil. The place is conveniently located in calm and safe neighborhood, no fear to park our car on the street. We could enjoy breakfast on a terrace with a view to the ocean, as well as barbecue in the backyards under the houndred-year-old palm tree. Hospitality of Mely and Neil is endless. I am sure the guest house will only flourish. Looking forward next time to come!

Very nice Guesthouse with super nice Staff. Good Location in a very quite and a safe neighbourhood. You can even walk to the waterfront. The rooms are comfortable with a nice view & a very good Breakfast. The new owners Melly & Neil do have great tips for Cape Town… I can really recommend this place!!!

Super Lage. Man kommt mit einem kleinen Marsch sogar zu Fuß zur Waterfront. Direkt unter dem Signal Hill. Superfreundliche Gastgeber bei denen man sofort pudelwohl fühlt. Kleiner Pool, schöner Außenbereich mit ausreichend Schatten. Melanie hilft bei allen Fragen und organisiert und vermittelt Ausflüge wenn man das möchte. Fünf Frisch renovierte Zimmer.

Die neuen Eigentümer haben das Gästehaus erst vor ein paar Wochen übernommen. Alle fünf Zimmer sind frisch renoviert und liebevoll ausgestattet. Das Frühstück ist super und sehr abwechslungsreich. Hervorzuheben ist der Servicegedanke bei allen Mitarbeitern. Das Front Office unterstützt bei Ausflugsplänen und hilft immer mit Rat und Tat. Sehr empfehlenswert sind auch die stufig angelegten Terrassen, die sowohl Sonne als auch Schattenplätze bereithalten. Der kleine Pool rundet das Ambiente ab. Die Lage des Gästehauses ist perfekt. Für kleines Geld kann man mit dem Uber alle nennenswerten Reiseziele vor Ort gut erreichen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Eigentümerwechsel des Gästehauses vor paar Wochen, sehr freundliche neue Besitzer- dieses vorab. Traumhaft gelegenes und sehr gepflegtes Gästehaus mit Außenpool und verschiedenen schönen Terrassen auf verschiedenen Ebenen. Perfekt und geschmackvoll eingerichtete Zimmer, sauber und ordentlich. Toller Service vom gesamten Team, wir wurden ganz herzlich empfangen. Der Gast steht immer an erster Stelle. Leckeres und reichhaltiges Frühstück, rundum sehr gut.

due to negative reviews we were not sure if we should book that Guesthouse, but when we arrived we found out that there was an owner change and the guesthouse is now called theGreen. The new owner was super caring and spoke also German and a perfect English. The rooms were clean and we even went for a morning hike with Niel. Amazing guy. Thanks for everything, we come back next year!!
