This hotel is worth the money. The front desk staff was very friendly and responsive. The room was very comfortable and clean. The location was excellent because the Waterfront is only 5-10 minutes away. There is tons to do at the Waterfront. Purchase a breakfast at the hotel because it is excellent. It is a buffet with excellent food. I was very pleased with my stay and would definitely stay again.

I recently stayed at a lovely hotel with an excellent location, just a 5-minute walk to the waterfront. The staff at the hotel were incredibly helpful and friendly, making my stay even more enjoyable. Although I didn't have breakfast during my stay, it looked quite good. Overall, considering the price and the convenient location, I have no complaints about my experience at the hotel.

訂的豪華大床房明顯是把雙床房拼一起湊的，差評！位置的確不錯，陽台能看到桌山和碼頭，靠近V&A碼頭，吃飯購物都方便。但是房間太小，隔音也一般靠近碼頭那邊的汽車和輪船的聲音吵的很。。。最近動不動就停電，沒有中規插座，設施有點落後了。早餐必須贊一個，非常豐盛，住了五天，感覺沒有任何變化。。。

I don't think it is a four stars hotel, there is no breakfast, no lunch, no gym, the receptionists are all cold. Regardless I checked in very late, but they required all to check out by 11am. That is really inconvenient. I book the family room, the sofa bed is next to a very noisy air-conditioner outlet, and the sofa bed is too heavy to move, maybe it was fixed to the floor. Will not consider to stay there again.

位置好，距v&a 碼頭很近。 出門兩分鐘就是hop on hop off 旅遊車站。房間設施不錯， 床很舒服。住六層可以有海港或桌山景觀。前台服務態度好。自助早餐很豐富。

Hotel antigo, grande, que recebe grandes grupos de turista, tornando o café da manhã (farto e variado) bem tumultuado… O piso do lobby, em algumas partes, está precisando ser trocado. A localização é muito boa: 200 metros do Waterfront. Staff da recepção um pouco impaciente…

We stayed at The Commodore for 3 nights in early April. The location of the hotel is its biggest advantage with V & A waterfront at a stone’s throw. But that is as good as it got for us. The hotel is no where close to what it looks like on the website. It is rather rundown and in the need of a face lift. The lobby has a tired look to it and the corridors are rather dingy. The rooms on the second floor had hardly any view and the massive AC units made the room rather crowded and noisy making it difficult to sleep well. The breakfast passes the muster and choices are not bad. The one thing that disappointed us most though was the rather unhelpful attitude of the staff. The reception staff we interacted with was not helpful at all and seemed rather disinterested in her job. Further, we asked for some bottles of still water one morning before 8 am as I was unwell and were directed to buy from the restaurant as housekeeping staff don’t start until 8 am. Since our accommodation was paid for by our travel agent and they did not have our credit card information, they refused to bill that to the room and asked us to settle at the restaurant. That was fine until the staff at the restaurant did not allow my wife to enter the restaurant for breakfast until she settled the account. Not a place I will stay again.

Golf trip in 8-person group; spent 7 nights. Comfortable rooms; clean though slightly dated. Amazing views if you get lucky with the room. Very helpful staff and concierge service. Breakfast is functional & adequate without being over the top; food quality was good throughout. The bar is just past the lobby and well stocked; popular with hotel guests in the evenings. The hotel is located 2 mins from the V&A mall - unlimited pubs and restaurants. Well connected to all points in Cape Town. The location is safe and presents no issues per se. Overall good value to for money if you are not looking for 5* luxury
