We had a extra ordinary service . Thanks to jaklin for her easy check in and as airline lost our luggage , Melissa she spend a lot of time to track our luggage and make sure everything is going to be ok with us.she was so so helpful. I appreciate her time.
Breakfast was nice and had variety.

If you are a solo traveler, look no further: good vibes, super clean, awesome breakfast and helpful well informed staff that will make your visit easier. Well located, safe area. Thanks to Melissa’s knowledge, Aloise and John kindness, Mathole’s taste in music I was able to experience a perfect Cape Town stay. Cheers also to all the girls preparing breakfast and keeping the hostel spotless!

Une belle ambiance pour cette jolie guesthouse très bien située et décorée avec beaucoup de goût. Tout est parfait, la chambre familiale avec deux chambres communicantes par une chouette terrasse, l'accueil est très sympa, on se sent comme à la maison.

We're in our 80s and are well traveled. We highly recommend THE BIG for senior travelers too. Don't be put off by It's backpackers label. It's a lovely place to stay for all ages. It's conveniently located for walking to the Vand A Waterfront. The staff are wonderful, the rooms comfortable and clean, the breakfasts healthy and plentiful.

Das war mit Abstand das schlechteste Hotel das ich seit 10 Jahren in Südafrika gesehen habe. Empfang unfreundlich. Nicht das Zimmer gegeben das bestellt wurde 1 Personen Zimmer nicht für 2 Personen geeignet. Schmuddelig das Zimmer. Das WC unterirdisch. Frühstück kein Käse, Eier muss man selbst machen, Obst Marmalade und Müsli ausreichend . Fazit nie wieder.

The staff was exquisite. I loved the vibe of the people staying, the breakfast that was served was delicious. The family room that I had occupied was clean and the bathroom spacious. Next time it will be a balcony room for me so that I can enjoy the rays of sun & heath a bit more 😁

Wat een super tijd hebben we gehad bij The Big . Super lieve hulpvaardige dames Ntombi en Mellisa bij de receptie. Door hun een fijne tijd gehad in Kaapstad. Het is een gezellige eetkamer en daar door veel gesprekken met de andere gasten . Ontbijt was goed verzorgd. De slaapkamer prima . Een echte aanrader, We komen zeker terug .

What a nice and friendly place. The rooms are really ok. Shower/toilet maybe a little bit small. But that doesn't care. Nice breakfast. Everything was clean, everyday clean towels. Good and safe stay in Cape Town. Friendly people and they can give you some advise.

I had an amazing stay at the Big. For me the no.1 thing I always look for is cleanliness. The entire property is spotless. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and continue to check how you are throughout your stay. Breakfast is a great way to meet other travelers if you're looking for company on your excursions. The location is quiet and residential but extremely close to anywhere you want to go in the central Cape Town areas. Beach/Pool towels to rent was an added bonus. I would definitely come back.
