We booked a king bedroom with a garden view. We receive a normal double bed.
The kettle was broken - could not open the lit.
When we depart we were told that an amount is still owing although the full bill were paid online.

We chose this hotel as they are part of the Marriott chain and to be close to the Capetown Airport for our final days of our stay. There are 3 "rows" of hotel rooms on this property. We stayed for 2 nights in the middle block of the property, and needed earplugs to reduce the road noise from the N1 at night as the windows are only single pane. The double bed room is small, but looks recently updated with a nice bathroom and beds were fine for sleeping. The breakfast buffet for R230 per person is not worth it, and as previous reviewer have stated, the eating area is very tight and limited. The best thing about this property was the staff were generally friendly and helpful. I would recommend the Protea Mowbry or Protea Durbinville as better overall Protea choices. I stayed at both of these other hotels during this trip and both are within a short Uber ride to the Capetown Airport if needed. Both had much better dining facilities and food. Both we more quiet for sleeping!

The property was located at an exlusive location on tyger valley and you can watch an unblocked sunset at the buffet restaurant (The hotel is located on a hill). The buffet has a small selection but the food is tasty and it does the job. The property is also located at a very safe place on tyger valley. Staff is very polite and helpful as the booking from ******* did not go through to their booking systems, but fortunately the ops manager helped to clarify with ******* to sort it out. Overall a great experience.
