Excellent experience with brilliant staff. Contacted in advance to check if I could park my car from the morning even if I didn’t check in til the afternoon and got a helpful response straight away. When I arrived, I’d been given a free upgrade! The room was lovely and the bed was SO comfortable! Shower was nice, bath was nice, view was lovely! The only downside was it was quite hot - I really wish the room had a fan or air con. Breakfast was great, the staff were very friendly throughout, I will definitely be returning!

Excellently located at the foot of Mt Snowdon, and offering various hiking routes to the summit and nearby points of interest. Catering to individuals, families, school groups alike. Bunk beds are a little narrow, however very comfortable at that. Single-sex dorms are provided, along with family/private rooms. Lockers also available in the dorms for the storage of valuables - just remember to bring a lock & key however, as these are not offered. If relying on public transportation to get around, then you have a selection of bus services to choose from, given Pen-y-Pass provides a local bus hub in the area. There's also available parking nearby. There is a local ranger's office nearby, if needing further suggestions/information on the local area - although, the office is only open at certain times during the day/week. The YHA provides a fully functional, self-catering kitchen - you just need to be well organised as to bringing in food from outside, given there are no nearby shops/stores. Closest shops/stores tend to be in Llanberis, and there are farm shops in the vicinity as well. If not interested in self-catering, then the YHA also offers a good selection in it's menu, at affordable prices.
