Stayed one night. Not sure if because of renovation, the reception area wasn't very welcoming, pretty much self check-in set up but staffed too. Busy hotel, popular pool, gym, need to wait your turn for sauna & steam room but Impressed with facilities. Room service food was basic. The room definitely need updating and shower pressure not great. Overall fine though, would stay again.

We always stay in the Village Cardiff, Easy to find, Plenty of parking, lovely hotel with use of Swimming pool, Sauna & Gym.
No hassle about parking the vehicle in Cardiff city centre, you can catch the bus or the train in.

Stayed 2 nights for a birthday treat from my husband. Usually always use this hotel as a special occasion treat, but this time unfortunately we had two very noisy nights of no sleep and on second night we had to phone reception and ask for assistance in asking guests next door to be quiet, went on till early hours of morning. First night was a Rugby Team in Black and White kit that were noisy in corridors at 2 am I morning and then going down to breakfast, literally no sleep for both nights. Busy breakfast area and restaurant in evening. Freezing pool facilities. Did explain nicely on checkout that it had been disappointing, lady said the manager would contact us but nothing to date. Best part of stay was check in with a lovely lady called Donna, she always remembers us and makes us feel special, if she had been working when we were there I'm sure she would have sorted our complaints. Thank you Donna, an asset to the hotel.

I am writing this at 12.13am with the baseline from many a dance hit reverberating through our room. This started at 09.00pm with a Freddie Mercury impersonation act and has continued. I left it until midnight to complain as it is a Friday night and have been informed by the duty manager that it will finish at 01.00am. This is our first time staying in a Village hotel and will be our last. It's a shame because the room is nice and check in was smooth but if you can't offer a good night's sleep to your guests then you are failing in your purpose as a hotel.
