Came to town for the caves, when checking in the young lady was upset she had to get up an come to the computer. She also made the comment that they go get families here, it is usually oil and gas.... Whatever that means. She was also put out when we came back for sodas and waited on our pizza to be delivered. (she even made a snarky comment to the delivery guy) Room was fairly clean but could see it was kinda like they didn't care or it was rushed. Pool was hot and equipment all on the floor. Breakfast was poor as well, not much variety, and the lady working it was on her cell phone and didn't use gloves. The Tables were not washed down after use, contraption for the eggs and potatoes was broken and couldn't get it open without spilling stuff. They had a cool coffee maker. No water unless you bought it or wanted fake sugar/flavored water.

This hotel is just off a residential area and not next to the main road like most of the other hotels. It has recently been built and only open a short time. As you would expect it has a modern decor, the reception staff were polite and helpful. The room we had came equipped with lots of usb outlets, a hdmi outlet not sure what that was for, 50" tv, curtsey blinds, wifi was a good speed, nice shower and bath. I think the swimming pool was out of action when we visited but we were not going to use it. We were disappointed to leave and could not fault the hotel. It is located about a 25 minute drive to the caverns.

There is nothing “Plus” or “executive “ about this BW besides the fact that it is a pretty new place. very bad sound proofing: on the top floor you hear the road as well as the neighbors TV and door banging. Minimum effort is put into breakfast: same exact unhealthy food every day, I had better in « basic « BW (and other 3 star hotels). Coffee tastes like instant coffee. Laundry way too expensive and Gym is minimal .

This is such a beautiful property!!! This inside is beautifully designed. The rooms are large and have everything you will need for a great night stay. Fitness Center is very modern and the outdoor patio area is so comfortable and spacious with 2 grills and a sink. The breakfast is so delicious and has a huge variety. The instant espresso machine is the coolest thing I've ever come across in all of the places I've stayed at. I give this place a 5 star. Best place in Carlsbad to stay.

The night person was very polite explained the hotel was new and to let her know of any problems. For being so late she made me fell welcomed not in a rush to check me in. I really appreciated that. Beds were great room was nice. Breakfast needs some help. When it came to check out the tall girl in front needs to tone it down a notch! I would stay there again.

Nice enough, but very noisy for a hotel. Parking was was odd and had to drive through a rutted out dirt drive to get into the parking lot. Things were clean, even though they were loud.
