I usually don't sleep well in hotels, but by the 3rd night, the bed was magical. The view from my room was also exceptional, and the staff were all pleasant and resourceful. Thank you for such a positive experience. I would definitely stay here again.

By far the experience was one of the best I’ve ever had. The hotel at night is quiet and peaceful. The pool is 24hrs. And it’s right within walking distance from Legoland. Definitely a must stay.

We had the most wonderful time at the Westin Carlsbad. It was such a treat to get upgraded rooms as we celebrate the birthday of my two friends. The amenities were great especially the pool. All staff were very friendly and respectful especially Jennifer, Grace and Taryn. The restaurants breakfast and lunch were delicious and staff were great, too especially Johnny at the 20/Twenty and Henry at 7 Mile Kitchen. Overall, it was an amazing experience.

The place was nice but the maintenance and room cleaning could be improved. The floor in front of the bar was flooded each day and the lights in the room looked like they haven't been cleaned ever. The bar also closes too early.

The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. The resort is quiet and scenic. The breakfast is delicious and a great benefit with Bonvoy status. The spa is a gem and the property amenities are wonderful. The staff are super accommodating. The hotel has great excursion packages and a shopping shuttle. Close enough to downtown with great local beaches in Carlsbad.

Beautiful property and helpful staff— check-in and valet were pleasant. The kids loved the pool; however, the food we ordered took quite some time and was just okay for the price. Beds were spectacular—very comfortable! We will definitely return to this property.

Do not stay at this property if you want any peace and relaxation. We are currently staying at the property and hear children running up and down the halls on our floor and above our room. When I called the front desk they said they cannot talk to guests about noise until it is 10pm. If you need to stay at this hotel, stay on the top floor unless you want to hear the guests directly above you walking around at any time. The hotel was not built in a way that insulates you from the floors above. Highly disappointing experience.

Overall the experience was just "good", which surprised me because usually Westins provide an excellent experience. Starting with check-in, the keys I was given to my room didn't work the first time, so my 9+ month pregnant wife had to wait in the very warm hallway while I had to go get new keys, to which I had to now wait in quite a line for. Was also not offered any upgrades or perks as a titanium elite member, which was unusual, and was unable to confirm a slightly later check-out until the following day for some reason. Then at breakfast the next morning in the 20 | Twenty restaurant, the struggle seemed to be very real with the staff. If took 15 minutes to get sat (we were the second couple in line), and the serving staff seemed to be confused on who had which table. The food was amazing, but the whole experience took nearly an hour and half... which we definitely didn't intend on. The room was nice though and the pool area was great. Again, I would say it was just a "good" experience, but it could have been much better... which for the Westin brand, I do expect.
