San Juan beach water club has always been my go to when I one time Puerto Rico. They are currently in renovation. They are switching owners, so they are changing the look of the place and updating it.

The roof top restaurant was awesome. The lobby restaurant was a joke! $12 for 2 6 ounce cups of coffee!!! Large glass shower in the middle of the room odd if your with someone other than partner. Fits literally 4 people!!! No place to put things on. Like you walk in the room and you have a bag or whatever no dresser no stand. Hate living out of suitcase! Only I stand for 2 case so one was on the floor ugh! Lots of sand. The bed is on a large platform that sticks out the has you stubbing your toes all the time. Staff wasn’t helpful when asking for places to eat nearby. Butler service on beach but the cost is crazy. Beware! Drinks $25 each or more. Under construction I wish I knew we would have booked elsewhere.

It’s under construction and the early morning noise is a bit much at full rates charged.
Windows in the oceanfront rooms do not open at all so the main reason to pay for ocean front is missing.
Staff, as usual superb, very clean, right on the beach with chairs umbrellas etc provided. Will probably be very nice after construction is completed but it was annoying on this trip

It was a great great trip. This is the hotel to be. They cleaned the rooms everyday. Just super nice the whole time!

Would of gave 5 stars if it wasn’t under renovation. If you like to sleep in on vacation wait for renovation to be completed. Waken up at 6:30am daily to hammers banging. But looking forward to returning once renovations are complete!

The property was under major reconstruction and we were not informed of this. Only one elevator caused very long wait times often 10 minutes each way several times per day. Construction noise started at 7 am and lasted all day. You could even hear it on the beach so there was no escape. Dumpster near the entrance and feral cats wandering around the lot. Not relaxing at all. Staff kept apologizing for the inconvenience but that did not change the situation at all.

The property is under construction which could be a little loud but the rooms were beautiful. My favorite was the shower….amazing!!. I will come back when renovations is complete.
