Superlative in every way, this hotel offers the best experience in comfort, style, food, beach, in Cartagena. Not cheap in any way either but it's worth splashing out for.

Excellent hotel and staff. Brand new with some amazing art work and decor. The view and ambience is simply beautiful. The only one problem I have which I know is being addressed is the last 1/2 drive to the hotel is literally thru some rough unpaved road which can make you car sick if you suffer from motion sickness. Besides that which I said is being addressed a must visit to relax and be one with nature if you are in Cartagena

Barú es famoso por los cobros abusivos y desmedidos, por lo que uno esperaría que este hotel lujoso fuera la excepción, y pues no. En cada uno de los restaurantes me cobraron un 10% de servicio y nunca me preguntaron si estaba de acuerdo. En la cuenta de hospedaje igualmente me cobraron un 10% de servicio que nunca me preguntaron si estaba de acuerdo. Si me lo hubieran preguntado tampoco lo hubiera aceptado ya que el servicio del hotel y el aseo de la habitación tienen mucho por mejorar, teniendo en cuenta el nivel de este hotel. Menos mal tengo los videos de que nunca preguntaron si estaba de acuerdo con el servicio y eso es ILEGAL. Al check out habían dos parejas más quejándose por cobros abusivos y que no fueron consultados.

Leidy crafted exceptional drinks that were a delight to the palate, and her recommendations always impressed us. The bar's cozy yet vibrant atmosphere, combined with Leidy's expertise, made each night memorable. For anyone planning a visit, we highly recommend spending time at both the bar and taking full advantage of the private beach and pools. Sofitel Baru Calablanca offers a perfect blend of luxury and comfort, making it a top choice for a truly special getaway. Don’t forget to ask for Leidy at the bar; her drinks are a must-try!!
