Our second time staying here. First time was in late 2022 and it was a great stay. This time was likely our last. The design of the building lets sound travel from the main floor to all of the floors, as it's an open concept. The sound was controllable with ear plugs when we went to bed but it was the vast volume of smoke that drifted up from the main floor that was unbearable. Many people were smoking, including cigars, and it all drifted to the upper floors. All of the rooms we booked were filled with the smell of smoke. That was issue 1 and only solvable with a ban on smoking in the building (ironically, smoking is not allowed in the rooms!). The second problem was that the server at the restaurant brought out the wrong bottle of wine and refused to remove the cost or even reduce it one bit when the bill came. The bottle we ordered was about $70 but the one she brought was $300. She said we drank it so we needed to pay for it. After escalating the issue as high as I could with available management, they reduced it about $60. A gesture but not big enough. It's too bad because it really is one of the nicest hotels in the city, I go to Casablanca monthly but I won't go back (until they stop the smoking indoors).
