It's humorous that the customer service is so bad. I found myself asking for something at the counter, only to have them stare at me happily and say "no" with a sullen face. Of course, my French is not good, but the simple request is still passable, but they don't care. It's all kind of funny if you can see the humor in their vices. But if you're paying more than $100 a night to stay in a dirty, old hotel building, it's probably not that fun. I retreated to the Bellarive Hotel, which was closer to the nearby beach and had a lovely room and a cheerful front desk. Plus, the price is half that of Suisse. Pros: old decor, whitewashed building, location close to the beach, regular rooms with balcony. Cons: Horrible service, barely edible breakfast, no maintenance, in desperate need of renovation, motorbike traffic noise at night.
