TL/DR: Comfortable but not impressive resort, the staff is absolutely the best part. Let me start with the excellent customer service, the people at Windjammer Landing were absolutely the best part. I'll call out specifically Elijah at the Jammers bar (thank you for taking the time to teach us about cricket!), Shanna, Stephanie, Marvelin and Rod at the spa (WOW those were some great massages!), and Linus who always greeted us by name and with a smile. You all were amazing, thank you! Now to the resort itself, which was fine but not amazing like the people. We stayed in Villa 1, which is on the lowest street nearest the ocean - amazing views and we thoroughly enjoyed the plunge pool which was a welcome way to cool off in the heat and humidity. What we didn't love was the open air main floor, which had no screening on any of the doors to the patios (locked sort of barred doors on a track that you can slide back to go outside). The lack of screening meant that there were constantly birds flying in and out of the villa looking for food - we didn't realize this until we lost one of a bunch of bananas to birds who flew in and pecked at it directly off the dining room table. It also meant a lot of mosquitoes and a brood of flying ants that hatched while we were there and were attracted to the light, so basically swarmed anywhere in the resort that had any lights on, including the dinner table in restaurants. The bedrooms did have A/C which was wonderful, but the cleaning staff had a habit of leaving the room doors wide open despite us having them closed and the A/C on, meaning it heated up the rooms and let in the mosquitoes from downstairs so I was bitten all night while sleeping. In the morning, the dogs in the neighboring property unrelated to Windjammer but just over the barbed wire security fence (!!) barked almost constantly starting at about 6:30-7am so we woke up to not only the expected loud birds, but also barking dogs. Of note for families with small kids - the master bedroom is on the second floor whereas the second bedroom is in the basement, so you've got a full floor between the two and cannot hear each other at all. Great for us with teenagers, but not so much if you have littles you need to keep an eye or ear on. The resort did drive around doing fogging for bugs to try and keep them down, but did it in the late afternoon/early evening so it was done while we were on the deck and in common areas of the villa which meant the fog simply drifted from the road in through all the windows as we were sitting there. Not great and would be much better if it were done late at night while people are sleeping rather than as they're sitting on the deck. There also was groundskeeping being done for multiple days during our stay - it's impossible to use a lawn mower for grassy areas between villas which means it must all be cut with a **** whacker. Unfortunately, that starts at about 8am and is a constant drone for hours. It took them a day and a h
