We had a very good time at Hoyohoy. The staff were friendly, the room was kept clean, the pool was beautiful and well-kept. Food was delicious at the resort, but somewhat expensive. The bar was not well-stocked, either. In the 9 days we stayed, there were only 2 other villas who were occupied for one night each which was nice but also made it very quiet. The town area is within walking distance, but tricycles and motorbikes are available for rent. Easy to walk to town and back. 😊A lovely place to stay. ❤️

The price-performance ratio does not fit at all, the menu can only be called up via the app and then only standard Filipino food is available. Room without TV and very small, moved on after one night.

In a word... Neglected. The facility as a whole is in much need of repair. Not just the thatched roofs of the villas, but the wood rot on the eves as well as much of concrete that has broken away from the rusting rebar.
The staff was courteous and location was quiet. The entrance to the resort is not clearly marked so is easy to miss.
Swimming pool is small, easy to mistake as a koi fish pond.
Wi-Fi only accessible outside on grounds or lower level of the villa, not inside the villa.
Villa appeared clean, though still managed to contract HFM Disease, had to cut our stay short because of needing medical attention on mainland. Resort refused to reimburse/refund for unused days.
In the end, a not so romantic, romantic retreat. Will not be returning.

Not even close to what it is advertised. Big need for renovation and repair. Grounds are not clean or kept. Beach is filthy and Cannot even be used. Pool is filthy and probably has not been cleaned in months. Staff not friendly. The restaurant has about a quarter of what’s on the menu. Again no upkeep, rooms are filthy, grounds are filthy, beach is filthy. I could’ve got a room at a five-star hotel for what this cost. All meals, beach, and activities have to be off property.

The resort is nice and secluded. It is within walking distance from the ferry and the the town if you chose. The property is well maintained and the lodges are spacious and comfortable. Some items could be upgraded but overall, the next time I go to Bantayan I will once more stay at Hoyohoy Villias.

A more secluded beautiful resort with very helpful and friendly staff. We enjoyed our nightly stroll to the touristy MJ Square either along the beach or along the road.
Highly recommend if you want a bit more solitude.

We left the restaurant without having eaten, 4 cats under the table, the waiter got involved
Saying that they locked the insects in the room in vain (Iules).
Access in the mud, the flooded path, no reaction to fill with a few stones. Fortunately only one night because it is lamentable, the dedicated staff do not have the means to compensate for the lack of presence of management.
