We love this hotel and its location. That’s why we’re back here again after a number of years. The rooms may be a bit on the small side but the staff are so friendly and helpful , the food is great, the location on the Venetian harbour is delightful and that more than compensates - we are using it as a base to explore the beautiful western end of Crete and we wouldn’t consider any other hotel.

I enjoyed my stay very much and loved the hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the public areas clean, as were the rooms and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom contained all that was required. Free water was brought to the room every day and the food was excellent, especially breakfast! The situation in the harbour area is perfect and I would highly recommend the Porto Veneziano hotel .

Excellent hotel. All the necessary facilities are available in the room or on request. The staff are also excellent and attentive. The location offers great access to the ports, old town and walks along the coast. Overall an excellent experience. My thanks to Yiota in reception.

The room was clean and tidy. It was the cheapest room, and thus small and without appreciable view. The rooms that have a balcony facing the harbor get an even better experience. If you are going to do more than just stay the night, it is money well invested to book a room with a view of the harbor. The hotel is centrally located on the edge of the harbor area, close to both restaurants and attractions.

We had the BEST stay here. I’m so sad we only had 2 days in chania because this hotel was amazing. They treated us like kings our entire stay and we are already planning our next trip.

Positive: 1. Location, can't beat it. 2. Service, very good and professional. 3. Very clean and very well appointed throughout. 4. Lobby, very comfortable. Bar and breakfast room also very clean and comfortable. Staff very professional, helpful and courteous. Negative: 1. Walls paper thin. I mean you will hear everything from the people sharing walls, the people above and below and the people on balconies three rooms down in all directions. I mean every little sound, as soft as a lady placing a glass on the nightstand in her room... you will hear it. Every conversation, every BM, every intimate encounter, every child crying, every couple arguing, and every tinkle in the night - front row seat. 2. The internet SUCKs. Very, very slow, I'm talking google maps takes time to load. I'm writing this review on my personal AT&T hotspot because the hotel internet cannot handle it. 3. Room size for one traveler is fine if you can get over negative points 1 and 2. This would be a very tight squeeze for two people for more than one night.
