Can only echo all the other reviews. From the moment you enter the clean smart reception there is an air of total relaxation. all of the staff were very attentive without being over the top. Special mentions go to Manager owner Petros whose genuine customer service and caring sets the culture for the entire hotel to restaurant staff Manolo and Anastasia both of whom are great characters and made the stay extremely enjoyable. The food was absolutely AMAZING the milanese risotto with ossobucco takes a lot of beating but this was surpassed by the lobster and scallop soup (see photo). We could not fault the room either. Yes is was one of the top rooms the dome suite 532 and yes the views from both inside and the pool were great. There was the coastal rd but did not interfere with the relaxing vibe. Prices within the hotel were very fair, often cheaper than outside (which is fantastic based on the quality). The Cretan wines recommended by Manolo were some of the best we have experienced. Would certainly book this again, just looking for the excuse now.

We have just spent a week at Corinna Mare. We were looking for something good value and didn’t want to spend alot, but still nice and clean and nice pool area. They appeared to be fully booked, but when I contacted them were able to accommodate us if we swapped rooms half way through - which we were fine to do, they gave us a discount for this. Our first room was a studio, and the bathroom was a bit tired, however, the room was big and the bed was big and comfy. There was an issue with the sink when we checked in and they rectified this immediately. The second room was the apartment. We weren’t sure what to expect as it was road facing - however, the bedroom went onto the side and so there was no noise. This was a more up to date room. Both rooms were clean. I think for what you pay here it is really good value. The pool area was excellent, and there is also a little pebbly beach area. There are two pools, one is deeper and it’s no jumping etc. and another shallower pool more aimed at kids. This has a lifeguard. The bar is reasonably priced, and the staff are great. We had a few meals at the restaurant. Salads are massive as are sandwiches. The Greek omelette was really good. We only had dinner one night, and it was gorgeous. There is a great view of sunset. They do some fixed menu deals which were very good value (€20 or less for starter and main) and really nice. I am coeliac, and so gluten free and there was plenty of choice and the staff were accommodating. There is a shop just over the road for any basics, you buy your bus tickets there for Chania. 15mins on bus, they are really regular and run until about 1am. €1.50 per person. We hired a small car for a couple of days (€55 per day - mars) to go to lake kournas, and also the botanical gardens. We did a trip to the Samaria Gorge, getting picked up outside the hotel. Yannis at reception was really helpful with any questions we had and helped with booking dinner reservation. The staff in general were friendly, helpful and laidback. There is a really nice atmosphere in the hotel and in general with the area, the locals are all really friendly. We went to To Antikristo for dinner on our last night and this was favourite meal. Well worth the journey to get there.

Stayed in suite with sea view. The view was amazing. The room was lovely, bed super comfy. There was a nice vanity table to get ready at. Bathroom was big and clean. The service at reception were very helpful. The location was great right in old town but not too noisy - music from restaurant in evening but I liked it and church bells on Sunday. I really enjoyed my stay here and was very happy with the suite. Couple of things to point out: there was no furniture on the balconies and aside from a pouf, no furniture in room to move outside. So meant nothing to sit on to enjoy balcony and it’s view. Also the curtain was only half curtain so to block out light need to shut the shutters which then restricts air. I didn’t mind but if you want darkness to sleep might need to bring eye mask. Like I said only minor things. Overall great place. Hot water - i mention as I know this is important to people :)

I booked to Elia Potie in Chania and I called the day before to ask for a shuttle from the airport to the hotel (the hotel offered this service). I asked for the driver to have a POS so I pay with a credit card. A driver came at the airport, he was nice but did not have POS because nobody from the hotel informed him about it. Thus, I had to walk with him around the city to a taxi place where his partner had the POS to pay. At the hotel and during my check in I was informed that my breakfast will not be served at my hotel but in another hotel 300 meters away. I complained because this was not written in the description of the room/hotel. Then, I had to walk with my suitcase to the hotel I booked (the check in was at the hotel where breakfast was served). When I arrived I found out that there is no elevator and I had to carry my luggage upstairs which was not possible because I broke my hand a few months ago (see pictures). I called the reception of the hotel and they told me that they do not offer groom service. I went to the room and left the suitcase downstairs. I informed the reception that either they should arrange so the suitcase is carried to my room or offer me a free cancellation. Moreover the room had a bad smell...I do not know if it is humidity or the smell from the bathroom... I also asked for a room change afterwards. The manager refused through the receptionist to offer me a free cancellation or change me room. The only thing the reception did was to send a person to carry my suitcase to my room afte two hours. Moreover, the room is above a bar and there is music playing until one a.m. Terrible experience, I do not recommend this hotel chain to anyone. The management is UNPROFESSIONAL and offer NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! Of course I informed Hotels.com immediately and they were trying to find the manager but he/she was hiding!

We stayed here on our first time visit to Crete and it did not disappoint! The hotel is in the heart of the Old Town and a few feet from a plethora of restaurants and shops! The hotel is situated in front of the harbor that is buzzing with people and activities. Our room had an amazing sea view! We could not get enough of the gorgeous view! Our room was well-sized and pretty. The hotel staff were very attentive and accommodating. The included breakfast was generous and included traditional Cretan fare with fruits, pastries, eggs, assorted breads, etc., Neo Chora beach is walking distance from the hotel. We spent an enjoyable time on this quiet beach. I would stay here again and wholeheartedly recommend this hotel!

First of all, l will get the negative points out, which are not alot, only 3 small points. 1 was the bathroom....very small, we had to stand in the shower to be able to close the door when entering the bathroom as there wasnt enough room to move around ! 2nd the tv kept losing the stations, therefore, we could not watch any tv. And lastly, the ”dressing table” had the mirror so high, l had to sit on 2 pillows to be able to see myself (and l am not a short person !) But as for the rest .......The enormous bed gave us the best sleeps ever, it was a spacious room, very quiet as we did not have a seaview, which suited our mood fine ! The breakfast was at the hotel nearly next door, and had a very luxurious breakfast on offer from fresh fruit to fried eggs......fresh bakery items lots of choices. The girl behind the counter l think Constandina was extremely helpful. she even made us a breakfast bag as the day we were leaving was very early, which we found very considerate of them. In all, it was a very pleasant experience

Fantastic hotel, brilliant week spent with partner and toddler. Shared pool room was ideal and the freshwater “children” pool was also excellent. The terrace view is absolutely jaw dropping. We had breakfast and dinner buffet half board, great variety and high quality. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. With a car there are lots of options nearby, also a perfect Greek beach and bay is 800m walk away with a great taverna. Only feedback is the music choice is loud and outdated - not sure whether management have selected this as the staff didn’t want it either and it was out of sync with the rest of the resort chilled Mediterranean vibe. Curio/hilton experience was consistent and high quality, impressive given it has only changed in 2024. Thanks!

We have only been here one night, but so far, the entire experience has been fantastic. On arrival, we were greeted with a delicious cocktail from the bar, where we sat and filled out the checkin forms. The car was parked for us for 15euros, meaning we didn’t have the battle to find a parking space in the busy Chania. The people have been fantastic, nothing is too much trouble, and they even took our luggage to our room, which was wonderful. And the breakfast this morning - it was fantastic. Both a buffet style breakfast and ‘a la carte’ option available. The entire team at breakfast were attentive, and made the whole experience feel very relaxing. Lastly, the rooms! They are beautiful, with double-width showers, beautiful bedding, blackout blinds, excellent AC and tastefully decorated rooms. In summary, this his has been a great find for us. Perfectly located in the heart of Chania, just a 5 minute stroll to the harbour. The whole experience has been brilliant. Looking forward to the last few nights of our stay. Thank you all!

GGuest UserWe were warmly welcomed by Eva which set the stage for a wonderful stay at Alcanea Boutique Hotel. Our room was charming and comfortable and we enjoyed using the sitting area in the courtyard. The hotel is well located with a view on the port while set back so that it is not in the bustle pedestrian traffic. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious and special options were prepared for the gluten free and dairy free needs of one diner. Our laundry was done in one day and well organized by the hotel. Next time we need to stay longer!

GGuest UserFirstly Crete is a beautiful and large island with plenty to see and do, I would recommend a visit. The Elizabeth Suites are well appointed, comfortable and clean and suited our needs perfectly ( we were a family of 4 with two teenage children ). The apartments are located on a small quiet site with a large and deep private pool, very close to the beach with a large choice of restaurants on your doorstep, an easy and cheap bus into the centre to see the old town and Venetian harbour is also great with lots of choice of places to eat, drink or shop. We took the option for breakfast despite having self catering facilities in our apartment and it wasn't a disappointment. Breakfast consisted of just about anything you could imagine, lots of it, fresh and presented beautifully and with a few extras for later in the day - usually homemade cake! Epas took the opportunity every day to ask about our plans and experiences which was great and he gave us many good tips for places to go and things to see - this was another bonus of taking the breakfast. Epas also arranged transfers from the airport, a hire car and late checkout so we had the apartment until the moment we left for the airport. We had a great holiday and would highly recommend the Elizabeth Suites as a place to stay and we would return in a heartbeat.

GGuest UserEvery hotel staff was smiley, friendly and helpful. We received welcome snacks snd message in the room. The room was modern with air condition, high ceiling and nice amenities. Breakfast was buffet-style as and adequate. Location is very close to many shops and restaurants but without the noise. I enjoyed the deep tissue massage at their spa. Enhancement areas suggested for Room 11: shower door does not close; the queen bed was two separate single beds put together instead of one mattress, and with separate bedcover sheets instead of one queen sized bedcover sheet; a kettle would have been useful.

VVacation45184277130I had a fantastic 4 night stay at the Chania Flair! After being greeted with a cold towel, glass of champagne and smoked salmon, I knew that my stay would be great. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The a la carte breakfast was great and there was a wide selection of hot and cold options. My room was huge and spotless, and the bed was very comfy. The only con of the room was that it looked over he neighbouring apartment building (so, not a very interesting view from the balcony). The hotel sent a fruit plate and a bottle of wine to the room...they know how to spoil their guests. The beach is right next to the hotel, and the hotel has a dedicated section on the beach (which was great!). Again, staff at the beach and at the Hagen Dazs (which is associated with the hotel) were all great. I used the roof top pool once during my stay, which had great views over the sea. I had a very relaxing stay at the Chania Flair and would absolutely stay here again!

GGrimI knew as soon as I heard goats with their little bells on that I’d like this place. Quiet, quaint, country accomodation on the way to Samaria Gorge. The family who run it were all lovely, and mum even made me up a picnic to take on the hike before dad gave us a lift to the starting point. Maybe it’s because it never happens back home, but I ordered a beer downstairs upon arrival, and got given free olives - that made my absolute day and, though previously incorruptible, my loyalty was bought instantly and totally. I also had the rabbit fry up thingo, which tasted great, although the salad itself was even better, though it curse my carnivorous tongue to say it. The bedroom had a great balcony for looking out over the green and rocky hills. Bed was super comfy, and it actually was a little colder way up in the Omalos elevation (in June) which made sleep come very easily for those like me who run hot. Big fluffy blanket in the cupboard though for those of you who like to be warmer. The bathroom is a bit small and being on the tall end of the height spectrum I had to be wary not to knock myself out on the hand basin when using the toilet. But if you’re under 6 foot you’ll patting your genetics on their small back. The building is relatively old so expect to hear some footfalls as other guests go past your room, but other than that, blissfully quiet overnight. The daughter of the family speaks really good English which helped a couple times, when regretfully I seemed to have forgotten all my Greek (which I rudely hadn’t learned prior to arriving). I can’t recommend this homely hotel enough, so if you’re on your way to hike the gorge, park your car here and stay the night. Then stay in Agia Romelli at the very end of the hike. Then come back to Omalos the next day and get some home style cooking back into your weary body. Or whatever floats your ferry.

GGuest UserWe arrived in beautiful Chania and were dropped off on the main road opposite the little track up to the Nireas. I had read TA reviews so knew to expect that Christos, the owner, would offer us a room upgrade but we were happy with our original room which was Apt 24 on the ground floor with a fantastic large balcony opening straight onto the pool area. We paid €5 a night for air con which was really powerful, and €10 for the safe. The room was dated but more than adequate for us as we are used to Greek accommodation. There were 2 beds pushed together and then a single bed near the door which my son slept in. There was a 2 ring hob, microwave and kettle and basic utensils but we only ate breakfast in the apartment so it was more than enough. I think you would struggle to conjure up a Cordon Bleu meal though but with so many fabulous restaurants on the doorstep, it wasn’t a worry for us. There were a few things that made us chuckle…. the apartment door had been hung the wrong way so the handle was inside the room and not on the outside 🤣 and the usual Greek plumbing scenario with the shower head on the wall but the shower screen on the other side of the shower meaning the floor got soaked 🫣 but hey, it’s Greece 🇬🇷 The maid came in every day except a Sunday and the sheets/towels were changed regularly. There was a drying rack on the patio for hanging wet beach stuff up. Plenty of socket points and the beds were super comfy. The pool area was quiet but we only used it in the afternoons once we came back from the beach. There were always sunbeds and Christos was either there or available by WhatsApp. The WiFi worked fine in our rooms and by the pool. Kato Doratso is a residential suburb just 4km outside of Chania so a perfect location for us. Just down the little road from the hotel is a supermarket on the corner for all your essentials/bottles of water. There were 4 beaches within walking distance and we chose Sunset Beach due to the stunning clear water. It’s a bay so no tide and it was shallow for a great way out meaning our son could happily swim and play without us worrying too much. There was a bar on the beach and the owner did a mean Freddo Cappuccino ☕️ 👌🏽 You could buy salads, hot snacks and sandwiches, ice creams, crisps and drinks there. There were also chargeable sunbeds and parasols and you could hire a kayak or paddle board. There was another shop near the start of the hotels to the left of the bay. We bought a couple of parasols from the shop and lay on the beach. It was full of local families and we thoroughly enjoyed mixing with them. The bus into Chania is the #21. Come out of the hotel, down onto the main road and take a right along the path. Just past the car garage there’s a bus stop and a ticket machine. You need the exact change and it’s €1.10 each into town (€2 if you pay on the bus) When you are is in Chania, as you get off, there’s a ticket machine and a kiosk to buy return tickets and you can catch the bus back

GGuest Userthank you for a pleasent stay, upgrande of our room and gluten and lactose free meal supply. Animators Carla and Lauda were our favourite ones and our daughter talk about them even we already returned back to home. For her absolutely fantastic holiday. I can´t also forget to mention the Magic Circus Show and the French protagonists. They makes their job so profesional and makes the people smily and happy. That was absolutely good choice of the hotel managers to choose them !! Fingers up who sign them. From our point of view everything was fine. We were really happy and I would only recommend this hotel. Petr / Marketa / Agata
