Hotels Near Église du Sacré-Cœur Marcinelle XII in Charleroi

We made a trip from the Baltic Sea and were on the way down to Spain. The hotel was a request on very short notice and we already knew van der Valk so booked it. The quality and service in this Van der Valk outstanding and we can only recommend it!

We were attracted to this facility by the fact that it is declared to be 300 metres from Charleroi airport.. unfortunately the 300 metres have been revealed a few km .. About 3 and a half ...Then you need to use taxi shipping service or eventually have a own means for which at least there is free parking. This very kind staff, the structure is beautiful but of course as ”support” for the road from and for the airport without too much expectation.

Very close to Charleroi Airport, the hotel has a shuttle bus, which takes you to the airport for an additional charge of 8 euros per person, a 10-minute drive. For those who need to take an early flight, it is very convenient and recommended.

The hotel is located near Charleroi Airport (South Brussels), so very comfortable in the event of flights coming or leaving at uncomfortable times. It is along a road a few minutes from Fleurus. We haven't enjoyed breakfast. The room was on the third floor of the ceiling so it wasn't easy to exploit it completely. There was no air conditioning but only a portable cooler. We have chosen this beautiful place for our marriage unfortunately the politeness and gentleness of some of the local managers are far from the minimum syndical you could hope for this kind of place... the evening of the marriage I hear me say By the owner that there is a seminar and that I therefore have no noise and not to enclosure the passage and that it is a privilege to let me decorate the room that I've hired over €3000 and that I've chosen it well so it is at its conditions ! My guests and my service providers have literally been attacked and threatened to be fucked at the door by madame. The commitments made by the owners have not been respected and even the evening we meet with our naked singer changing out of her room without even having the opportunity to get her scene costumes... Although we are We had a calm discussion the next morning, but I can unfortunately only give a negative opinion on this beautiful place. I can only advise you to find another place for your marriage if you want to avoid this kind of extra stress...

I have stayed here twice before but in twin rooms. They were super. This time it was a double and I found it crazy that the bed was in a corner where one person was up against the wall and had to crawl in from the foot of the bed. The bathroom area had a bad smell but which did not penetrate into the main room. Unfortunately the guest next door were loud and we didn't sleep well.

This was our second visit to this Hotel as a stopping point on our journeys between UK and Crete and we will definitely return again. The Hotel is clean and functional, and the staff friendly and attentive. The location close to major roads is perfect for a one night stay after a long journey. The adjoining Bistro serves great reasonably priced meals and the service is excellent. We travel with two dogs who were made very welcome and well catered for.

Room was clean. Bed was very comfy. We were out sightseeing most of the time so didn't spend much time in the hotel or use the amenities. An iron in the room would have been handy but otherwise had all we needed. Nice touch of the 'emergency champagne' in the wall cabinet but we resisted.

We booked this stay to celebrate our Anniversary. We choose the royal package so we could enjoy the wellness, dinner and breakfast all in one. I had emailed the hotel in advance that it was our anniversary and they said they usually don't provide extras with such occassions but they were willing to have a bottle of wine ready in the room. Unfortunately we never did receive that. Wellness was a nice addition to the package. Jacuzzi, sauna, infra red and showers. Good enough to use for an hour. Dinner was the high point of our evening. The dishes were delicious and nicely plated. 5 courses of amazing skill and flavor. I would come back soly to eat in this restaurant!!! Room was comfortable, clean and spacious. Everything your expect of a 4 star hotel. Mini bar, amenities etc The only reason I can't score this experience more then 3 stars is because of the breakfast. In my opnion (with experience staying in hotels over the world like USA, Canada, UK, Morocco, Lebanon etc) this was not a 4 star experience. The overall selection is very limited. The deli meats were only consisting of pork so we could not eat from it. Some salmon would have been a nice addition. I never in my whole life have had to fry, bake my own eggs in a 4 star hotel. This is one the weirdest things I have experienced. Me standing at a stove making my own eggs while paying well over 300 euro for a nights stay. You really need to up your game when it comes to breakfast. At least get a chef to provide nicely made omelets, scrambeld eggs etc. There are only 30 rooms so you could provide such an excellent standard if you put in the effort. The breakfast buffet area is also very dark and small. Kept bumping into people and let's not start about the very slow coffee machine. Overall the stay would have been perfect if we didn't have to check out with the experience of such a bad morning. Hopefully this is something you can improve on then it would be 5star
