The Jasmine House

The Jasmine House was a delightful, last-minute find that won our hearts with its B&B charm. It just jumped the line as our new go-to for our annual trek to Charleston. Amenities abound, the garden was lush and serene, and the inkeepers went out of their way to ensure a comfortable, memorable stay.

Fantastic place to stay..so many amenities..and location can’t be beat..can’t wait to return. Friendly staff always willing to help..and the nicest guest . We were able to walk to most every place. Loved sitting on the porch or in quiet courtyard to enjoy the wine and cheese with friends..highly recommend to family and friends.

There were definite pros and cons with this inn. The pros: Beautiful room, clean, nice gift basket, great location, good breakfast buffet and some really kind staff. The cons: We've traveled the world and never stayed anywhere where a hotel employee was so rude, condescending and treated us so poorly. He made an error, which was pointed out to him, but never apologized for the way he spoke to us. On top of that, the elevator broke and the kind employee who helped us with our luggage told us about it. Although an Out of Order sign was posted on the elevator, no one from management asked us if we needed help lugging our heavy bags down the stairs (and we're over 70). (A petty complaint - they only provide two bath towels, so we had to use the bath mat as a towel.) Besides the way we were treated, which basically ruined our stay, we later addressed this via a letter before commenting on TripAdvisor. To this day, we never got a response. So then we filled out the questionnaire form. Still no response. Therefore, it made us wonder how much they really care about their guests. We know, despite the positives, that we'd never recommend it to anyone.

Perfect place to stay in Charleston! Comfortable, CLEAN room and facility. Friendly staff. Mere blocks away from main shopping and restaurants. Harris Teeter( grocery store) only a few blocks away as well. Convenience of an elevator in the main house. Beautiful courtyard to enjoy our breakfast and snacks. Loved the ambiance of the period (yet comfortable) furnishings. We sure hope to return !

We've learned first hand what Southern hospitality meant. Highly recommend!

The perfect place to stay! Beautiful old home within walking distance to everything. The room was large, lovely,private and comfortable. All the staff were so pleasant and helpful! The complimentary breakfast was the best of anywhere I've ever stayed. Just can't say enough good things about Jasmine House! We will definitely be staying there again on any future trips to Charleston!

Beautiful property. Loved our stay.

The location is amazing, the staff was super friendly, the building needs some TLC due to its age, so squeaky, floors, the BED!, the ceiling above our room. Doors hard to open. Loved the snacks, breakfast and happy hour, well done. I would comeback, but would request being upstairs.
