I had a long day and really needed something to eat. But there was a function and a packed bar. I stood for 10 minutes to get served and then gave up and went out to local shop to get a sandwich which I ate in the room.

This was a last minute booking and I was pleasantly surprised, I was able to charge my car…, for free, no parking charge either. The receptionist was welcoming and bar staff were friendly. Hotel room was perfect and beds super comfy!

This hotel is ok, certainly very tired and in need of a good clean and refurb. Our room was ok, though the windows had damp all round and there was a distinct lack of sockets. One for the TV and one other under the window which made charging phones and plugging the kettle in difficult. The beds though were good and the bedding nice and fresh. The fan in the bathroom did not work which made it a bit stuffy whilst having a shower. That said the water pressure was great and there was plenty of very hot water. The pool, sauna and steam room were fine albeit small but if you chose your times carefully (avoiding children swim times), then it was ok. Breakfast and dinner were good. Staff coped amazingly well on the Saturday morning when many more guests turned up than were booked in for breakfast (due to a function the previous evening). Admittedly, cooked breakfast items kept running out but the staff refilled them as quickly as possible and always with a smile on their faces. That positive attitude of staff throughout our stay made up for the worn state of the hotel and has saved it from a 3 star review.

Very clean The staff were very helpful, and easy to find rooms , lots of spaces to sit and great outdoor area. Food was good Services good , plenty for everyone, lots of car parking spaces , and easy access in and out , plenty of option for the buffet breakfast too

Lovely relaxing spa break, lunch and treatment today. Really good value for money. Although a little dated in the spa area, between the pool, steam room, sauna, swing chairs, heated stone beds and loungers there is enough to chill and relax. Lunch was very good. The treatment with Jess was the best head, shoulder, neck massage and facial I've ever had. Excellent amount of pressure and very relaxing. A whole day of just slowing the pace. Worth every penny.

Me and my friend booked a spa weekend. Had such a lovely time. The surrounding is cute and beautiful, not huge but still nice. The hotel was clean and had nice interior, I like that it wasn’t too modern as it gave it a comfortable feel. The dinner in the restaurant was nice, they were very accommodating to my friend with food allergies. The staff at reception, bar & spa are all so friendly and professional. The spa was small but still nice. I would recommend the treatments, very nice. My only gripe was breakfast was not great, the bread ran out and no one replenished it for a while. Same with pastries. But other than that it was a lovely stay
