Very good location and friendly staff.

There is a Chinese "welcome" at the entrance of the hotel. The staff is very enthusiastic. The room was upgraded to the second floor. The light on the first floor is poor. Azl, the receptionist, immediately moved it to the second floor. You can walk to the scenic spot. Recommended.

The location is good, not far from the old town and can be reached on foot. The hotel is very distinctive, very clean, and the breakfast is average.

The overall evaluation can only be described as average, but basically acceptable in all aspects.

Great location in this beautiful city! Very friendly and helpful staff, easily reachable by car, typical blue furnishings, fantastic heating!

Beautiful hotel

Puerta Azul was like my second home with new family. The staff at this property are amazing! Breakfast is yummy, plentiful and healthy. This property is a cultural immersion experience has been one of the best to experience in my lifetime!!

A very simple but clean hotel approximately 10 minutes walk below the town. The rooms are all traditionally furnished with comfortable beds and ours had a decent size seating area with a sink and fridge. There is secure underground parking beneath the hotel. Breakfast was included which was nicely prepared with an egg. cooked as you like it.

Plain hotel. Dirty entrance. Lots of loud noise echoing in the hall & lobby that was audible in the room. On main road with traffic noise. Scrubby location. Shower leaked all over the floor. Toilet seat fell off. In the bathroom, no counter space to put stuff. The construction was visibly shabby. Rooms were painted as in kindergarten. No charm at all. Thought it was clean & staff was nice.

I highly recommend staying at this wonderful hotel in the magical city of Chefchaouen. All the staff were wonderful. Even before we arrived Aziz the manager was very helpful with advice on getting a taxi to the hotel. We were warmly welcomed by Aziz and Mauaad and were given a choice of rooms which was greatly appreciated. All facilities in the room were helpful and an electric kettle was provided as per my request. TV worked well and had Netflix. The interior was gorgeous and authentic! The breakfast was delicious and we really appreciate Yasin’s hospitality every morning. Btw, Yasin is also an artist so look out for his lovely paintings in the dining area. I’d like to thank Yasin, Mauaad and especially Aziz for being so supportive when my husband was down with food poisoning (from lemon juice at a stall in the town centre). Aziz came to check in on us and was concerned I hadn’t eaten all day as I didn’t want to leave my ill husband. He insisted on bringing me a delicious meal - on the house - which was so kind of him. This is what made our stay memorable. The excellent service, especially by Aziz, that we received was greatly appreciated. It felt like we were with family! Much gratitude for everything! The location of Peurto Azul is perfect as it is a ten min walk to the Kasbah and main town square. It is uphill but wasn’t an issue for us. You can also get a taxi. I’d recommend booking in advance as the rooms here are taken up quickly! I’d advise staying in Chefchaouen for at least two nights to also go and explore the National Park including The Gods Bridge. Don’t miss the sunset from the Spanish Mosque. This beautiful blue gem of a city was a magical experience. It was the incredible people who will make us come back again! 🙏💙

Very clean and comfortable hotel in the town. Enjoyed the included breakfast each morning. Big room and modern bathroom. The room had metal rolling shades over the windows, which was nice to muffle street sounds. Not a far walk to the medina, but at night we took a short taxi ride back. Parking garage attached and included.

This beautiful hotel is at the edge of the medina, about 8-10 minutes easy uphill walk to the medina ( or a 1 US$ taxi ride ). We prefer this type of modern, more spacious facility, rather than the usually cramped, musty riads within the medina. The parking access is easy. The breakfast is generous and with many options including freshly squeezed orange juice. The rooms are spacious, spotless and beautifully decorated with the characteristic blue motif. The manager Aziz and his young assistant Mouaad are warm, friendly and knowledgeable, treating the guests like their family. Thank you Aziz for going out of his way to help us with our transportation hassle in our recent stay!

What a fantastic experience—look no further and book with confidence because Aziz and his team treat you like family! The hotel is a short walk from the medina or you can grab an inexpensive taxi the short distance. The spacious rooms are clean, beautifully detailed and wonderfully air conditioned. The breakfast is homemade and hearty—a great start before a day of adventure. But most of all, I can promise you that Aziz will go above and beyond for you during your stay because we cannot thank him enough for what he did for us during our short time in Chefchaouen. About an hour after we arrived, we panicked when we realized we accidentally left our son’s iPad on the CTM bus we rode into town! Aziz immediately called the bus station AND drove us there in his own car so we could recover the lost item AND helped us negotiate the return of the iPad since the manager at the station was demanding a “reward” for his troubles. We appreciated such honesty when not everyone we met during our time in Morocco was as honest or kind. THANK YOU Aziz!

I loved the place! The decoration of the hotel and the rooms is very inspring and artistic. The comfort and the service were of high quality. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend.
