Cotswold Grange

A gem of a hotel, about eight minutes walk from the town centre. Friendly and accommodating staff, lovely rooms, a bar and a great breakfast. Almost too good to be true!

We came here on 23/04/2024 with family and friends after a funeral service for my wonderful Aunty Mil and this is just one of those hotels that just gets it absolutely right ..no stuffy or fussy just friendly and warm and professional..superb buffet laid on ..nothing too fancy just sandwiches and scones with Jam and clotted cream and a few other bits and pieces but all were beautifully made tasty and of the very highest quality ..I said to the lady manageress I’d write a review and here it is ..we celebrated my Aunty Mil’s passing with a dignity and Grace she would have approved of ..10/10 for everything ..

Great boutique hotel. We stayed overnight for a wedding at a nearby venue. The staff were fantastic and kindly let us have a very early check in so we could get ready before the wedding. The room was a small double and very nicely styled, immaculately clean and very comfortable. We booked direct for the best price and it included a great breakfast. We would definitely return if visiting the area again. Really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for such great service!

I recently stayed here with my wife for a little getaway. The hotel is conveniently located just a short walk from town with free onsite parking. We agreed to drop our car off early so we could explore the area. Upon arrival Becky on reception, greeted us and gave us all the information we needed. Ensuring we booked breakfast, which is delicious! She gave us our room key and even offered for us to leave our bag to take up to the room when it was ready. The rooms are sizeable, well furnished, and comfortable, although I felt the mattress was on the softer side for my liking. I would recommend this hotel for anybody going to Cheltenham. I would also book direct as they include the breakfast when booking direct with them.

We stayed 3 nights at the Cotswold Grange, let’s start with the positives. A special mention to Becky on reception a delightful young lady nothing was too much trouble and she made a real effort to engage. The breakfast waitress was fast and efficient. Breakfast was delicious great produce complements to the chef. The property is lovely lots of original features located in a quiet residential neighbourhood, approximately 15min stroll to the Brewery Quarter and more high end shopping on Montpellier. We stayed in room 5 not shown on the website, the room is large and bright with some attention to detail and maintenance issues resolved this room could be special. Room 5 overlooks the front of the property/car park of which there is ample parking. Room 5 has some miss match of furniture and style, in my opinion room 5 could do with a refresh. The bed was large and comfy however has no headboard just two what I can only describe as sofa seat cushions propped against the wall masquerading as a headboard. The shower door has come of it’s bottom track, toilet roll holder needs re-fixing and consideration for a blind in the bathroom needed- small tweaks that will truly allow the room to be called a luxury bedroom. I would recommend this property as the positives outweigh the negatives.

Stayed on Saturday and loved the hotel. Great location for a stroll to town and has free parking. Room was great with a lovely bathroom and shower. A great breakfast and recommend the Cotswold full English. Would definitely stay here again.

The two ladies on reception were lovely. Very welcoming and look forward to staying here again.

This is a very comfortable independent hotel, conveniently located close to the town centre. The room was a good size with a very good en suite, with bath and walk in shower. Everything very clean and well maintained. We had breakfast provided for us by the hotel, which was included in the price, as we had booked direct and was cooked fresh and it set us up for the day very nicely.

Fantastic hotel.l, great position. Staff couldn't do enough for us, really attentive. Breakfast was awesome., choice of everything. Kept bringing tea and juice out. We went to the races early, and the hotel let us park up and check in later. Will definitely return.
