Queens Hotel Cheltenham ★★★★
"The hotel has a long history. A group of friends and I were given the last room available, perhaps because we were mostly Asian. The room smelled musty, the floor made a slight noise when stepped on, and the cleanliness was so-so. All the windows were sealed shut, revealing a very white area."
Central Studios Gloucester Road by Roomsbooked ★★
"A very terrible and messed-up experience. It’s winter, not summer. I stayed at this hotel for one night. When I checked in, the heater wasn’t working. I informed the hotel, and it took more than an hour for a technician to come. When he finally arrived, he checked it very poorly and brought a small portable heater — which didn’t work either. When I went out for dinner and came back to the hotel, they had taken the spare heater away. They entered my room without permission while I was not there. Luckily, I didn’t leave any valuables in the room. The heater did not work the entire night. I had to suffer in the freezing cold, shivering with a fever. I couldn’t sleep at all and kept watching the clock, waiting for morning so I could finally leave this nightmare. I ended up getting sick with a fever and a cold and had to take time off work, which is completely unfair. This has been one of the worst experiences of my life. I have stayed in many hotels and have never left negative feedback before because they were all good. But this hotel is absolutely unacceptable. If the room is not ready, do not open it for guests. It’s extremely disappointing. Can they even take responsibility if a guest freezes to death in the room? Anyone looking for accommodation — do not stay here. There are many other hotels in Cheltenham that are properly prepared and provide better service."
Cheltenham Chase Hotel & Spa ★★★★
"Lovely stay. Complimentary upgraded and breakfast as I am a Platinum Elite Marriott Bonvoy. Spacious room. Great Christmas deco. Staff at check in was very helpful and attentive. He welcome me as an elite member. Breakfast was ok, not excellent. Not much spread. Overall, a great stay for work."
DoubleTree by Hilton Cheltenham-Cotswolds ★★★★
"Friendly and helpful staff, big and clean room, restaurant and bar are great, pool with sauna is wonderful"
Malmaison Cheltenham ★★★★
"The hotel itself is good. The phone number and email address provided by Ctrip are not mine. I guess they made some money. If you can book a hotel yourself in the future, don't go through Ctrip."
The Sheep on Sheep Street Hotel ★★★
"We love everything about this hotel, strategic locations, free parking, delicious breakfast (never missed to try the raspberry compote)"
Travelodge Cheltenham ★★★
"Rooms are too hot in these temperatures, no air flow anywhere, window in bedrooms only opens 3cm so barely any air comes in. They seriously should consider putting AC at least in the corridors so that there is a bit of air moving around! Ended up having to re book my other 2 nights elsewhere as was unbearable!"
No131 the Promenade ★★★★
"We found it really unique and quirky, would definitely recommend"
Premier Inn Cheltenham Central (West/A40) Hotel ★★★
"Ask for a room at the front of the building if you are a light sleeper as the rooms at the rear are very near to the railway line with frequent trains running. We got very little sleep. There were no quieter rooms available."

Ellenborough Park Cheltenham
"We stayed at this beautiful hotel for my 60th birthday. With my daughter. The views are breathtaking and the hotel its self . Great location the staff are very welcoming and courteous. There is lots of parking , unfortunately we did not get a chance to use the spa facilities. Our only negative thing was our room although lovely the carpet had a few stains on it and our windows did not open easily , and the entrance hall to our room was very dirty we had been given a room in the grounds outside of the hotel and for the cost of our stay we were very disappointed after seeing such elegance, with the main Hotel and the lobby etc . We had also been given a room with a bathroom that was more suited to someone who needed more support and although there was nothing wrong with that , it would of been nice to have had a choice of a bath as well and we felt someone else might have benefited more with this set up on their stay."
Portland Apartments
"Very comfortable and feel at home"
Cowley Manor Experimental
"The overall experience of this hotel is very good, and the process from check-in to check-out is very smooth. The service staff is friendly and polite, the room is clean and tidy, and the facilities are complete and well-maintained. The location is convenient and the surrounding living functions are also very convenient. The overall accommodation environment is comfortable and relaxing. It is a pleasant accommodation experience and I will visit again if I have the chance in the future."
The Slaughters Manor House
"We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel. The location is peaceful, the gardens are lovely, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was good. The only downside was that there was no air conditioning, so the room became quite warm, especially at night. Opening the windows helped a little, but it was still uncomfortable during the warmer weather. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Cotswolds."
The Greenway Hotel & Spa
"I wouldn't recommend staying here if you're visiting the main tourist attractions in the Cotswolds. It's about a half-hour drive from the attractions, and the environment is nice."
The Colesbourne Inn
"Pros: Lovely building, good location in the Cotswolds, large room and bathroom, comfortable bed, breakfast was nice. Cons: Right next to a busy road so noise from that all night, noise from other rooms travels an incredible amount, the room needed a bit of tlc - we had stains from leaks all over the ceiling. Unrelated to the stay we paid for, but at dinner we ordered a oyster mushroom kebab which had one oyster mushroom! The rest were cheap button mushrooms"
Mr & MRS Smith the Wheatsheaf Inn
"This hotel, converted from a local house in a village, offers a deep dive into the local pub culture as many locals come for dinner and drinks in the evening. Exploring the village itself is also a great experience. The English breakfast is generous and delicious. The only inconveniences are the lack of an elevator, which can be troublesome with large luggage, and it's best to drive yourself as public buses might be hard to find. The hotel's interior has a strong cultural atmosphere with many beautiful artworks."
The Portland Guesthouse
"We enjoyed the stay in Portland guesthouse, easy access to the hotel with the instructions sent and very friendly breakfast care."
No38 the Park
"Great! Nice environment, good service, and delicious food."
Beaumont House
"Great accommodation. Aside from the lack of breakfast and cooking utensils, I was generally satisfied. The surrounding area was quiet, and check-in was self-service."
The Lamb Inn
"Nice environment, beautiful little village, very suitable for a walk"
Ramada by Wyndham Cheltenham
"From outside looked scruffy and uncared for inside was fine althoug8evening meal was a little fragmented and confusing not helped by one of the group moving the nameplaces around Some guests tried it on complaining their food was inadequate but in fact most of us found the food was really nice and to top it top it all we all got a substantial reduction in price. The management redeemed themselves entirely. Would I stay again, yes we would as we think it is a work in progress."
