Fantastic room in centre of Cheltenham
Stayed in the balcony room, was absolutely fantastic, so spacious and comfortable, had a mini kitchen with microwave and all equipment you could need for a short stay. Excellent location to walk to shops and restaurants. Parking available outside, approx £4 for 2 hours, but from 6pm - 8am it is free, we got up at 8am to put a ticket on just in time before the Traffic Warden arrived so be aware of this. Only issue we had was that you are unable to control the heating in any way. Room was cold but we sent a message to the number provided in the room and it was turned on so result!!! Wi-fi was also turned off in the morning but that wasn't an issue for us.

I have stayed here before and to be honest I would never stay anywhere else in Cheltenham, I am writing a second review because it was even better this time around, amazingly helpful staff there was a little issue with my booking but they went above and beyond to solve it highly recommended. Very good place.

Our company’s head office is in Cheltenham and they booked this place for me, I was very surprised it was far superior to other places I have stayed in the town, good location, easy to park, good restaurants locally, good standards, excellent bed, good facilities.

booked this hotel over 12 months in advance for my husbands 40th birthday. I booked the hotel in December 2023 and secured a price of £741 for 3 nights. In March 2024 (4 months later) the hotel contacted me to say unless I agreed to an increased price of £900 a night my room would be cancelled. I try to speak with them and open a complaint as my booking was made in good faith, they wouldn't even speak to me and cancelled my reservation. I have now been left out of pocket after booking tickets and making arrangments. Worst experience I have ever had - and has ruined my husbands birthday.

We had a studio apartment, its was stunning inside had great interior, pictures and character, felt really good quality, great atmosphere, etc, very helpful staff and an app you download to get all the details you need to check in which I thought was clever, I have seen these apps in the past and they are often complicated but this one is simple and easy to use. We booked parking which I would say is very important and its limited in the town. We will definitely return to 81 :) very good nights sleep etc.

Stayed for a business trip, simple booking and check-in process. Comfortable room, good part of town, easy access to restaurants. When i go away i don't want complications and this was very effective. Would stay here again. Loved the part of Cheltenham, just what you need.

The location is perfect, with easy access to town, shops and restaurants. The room was clean and as expected- lovely fluffy pillows and nice decore. No issues at all. I will be back next time I’m in Cheltenham. Always a good sign in my view!!!!
