The hotel was better than I expected. I booked it 30 min before arriving. I was early but was able to check in earlier than stated. I requested a double room ( solo traveller) and was give a spacious, clean room with plenty of natural light. Although basic and in need of modernisation I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. It was also great value for money. Location was perfect. Just off a busy road so ideal as a mid stop from motorway towards Oxfordshire/Cotswolds etc.
I had their set lunch menu which was delicious. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon so ate in their lovely courtyard garden. It was beautiful. I had no objection from staff for eating outside instead of their restaurant.
In fact all the staff were pleasant and helpful.
I took a walk around the area. It was safe and had wonderful views.
Breakfast was great. Cooked full English ,pastries, fruit, juices etc..
Definitely worth staying. It has charm and surrounded by fields and a good countryside vibe.

What a lovely hotel and staff! We had a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable break here for 2 nights over this bank holiday weekend. From the lovely girl that greeted us at reception to the bar, restaurant and housekeeping staff were all friendly, polite, helpful and professional. The room was spacious, modern, clean and comfortable and looked out onto the garden. We ate in the bar in the evening and the food was good quality and reasonably priced. Breakfast was good buffet style with plenty of choice. This is a great base to explore the Cotswolds and would not hesitate to recommend or return for another stay. Thank you to all the staff, you work hard to make your guests feel welcome and it shows.

Great stay at The Holt Hotel, very accommodating and helpful. The rooms were spacious and modern, with super comfy beds & kitted out with everything you need (tv, kettle, mugs, soaps etc) Also providing a clean cot, which helped save on car space. Lovely grounds, great for drinks outside or to catch some sun. Breakfast was tasty with plenty of choice. Would definitely stay again, a beautiful get away.

A lovely hotel with clean comfortable, well presented bedrooms. The evening meal was excellent, tasty and good value. However on the downside is that the breakfast was a little disappointing. We came down at 8.15 (middle of service) and while the food was hot and plentiful, the bacon and black pudding had dried out and was almost inedible, perhaps too long under the heated lights. The continental breakfast was varied and looked very appetising. Be aware that the hotel is on a main room so rooms to the side are preferred if you require quiet.
