Crabwall Manor Spa, BW Signature Collection

We have had a lovely stay, and it would only take a few tweaks to make this hotel better. Good: *It's in the perfect location, we took an uber into the centre of Chester for less than £5. *Breakfast was relaxed with a great selection as a buffet service. *Spacious room with all the amenities you need. *Plenty of free parking. *Beautiful grounds and really quiet at night. *Great value for money Needs Improving: *Cleaning standard is average, black mold around the taps in the bathroom that could be easily resolved. *Bathroom floor was desperate for a good mop *Bed wasn't the comfiest as 2 twins fastened together leaving a gap in the middle. *Staffing levels affecting customer service levels, we decided to order room service, took an age to answer the phone and then said could be collected from reception, kind of goes against the point of room service, so we left it, not great for the hotels add on sales if that happens everytime. *No enough bar staff, we ordered food but it was cold and one meal was not what we ordered but too hungry to wait for it to be replaced, apparently fish finger sandwich is identical to fish and chips anyway according to the waitress! Like I said it won't take much for this hotel to raise it's customer service standards to an excellent level, more staff will fix most of the issues, despite everything mentioned we would probably stay again.

The upgrade to a junior suite was a waste of money. The room was in poor condition - room 5. The carpets were stained; the sink was cracked; as was the shower tray. The shower had missing grout and was in poor condition. Generally the room was old and in need of a refurbishment. The room was not serviced properly - bed not made and toilet rolls not restocked. The only good thing was the sheets and towels were clean. The he breakfast was poor and not in any way geared for a healthy lifestyle. A real lack of options and no natural yoghurt or fresh berries. Staff were friendly. Gym was good. Other than those few redeeming features, this hotel needs a complete overall.

Peaceful location, amazing, staff couldn't do enough for us during our stay, had a slight issue with shower but once reported to reception it was sorted as quick as can be, stunning garden areas to enjoy a drink from either of the 2 hotel bars, pool/spa facilities lovely and are complimentary during your stay (treatments available at extra cost), breakfast was full English continental and was outstanding, with staff quick to clear plates and wipe down for other residents dining for breakfast. 10 min drive to chester centre and the zoo, 3min drive to the wheatsheaf inn if you chose not to drink/dine at the hotel. We would happily stay again.

Amazing experience, our room was spacious and beautiful. The staff were all very kind and welcoming. The spa facilities were incredibly clean and peaceful. The staff offered to call us a taxi when we struggled to call one and were very considerate to me and my partner about our struggle.

Where do I start! Had the best wedding day. From planning to arriving the day before the day of everything was fantastic. Martin is the master of Ceremonys that every bride needs in her life he kept my calm and relaxed nothing was too much to ask was by my side whenever I needed him he was like my additional bridesmaid I never knew I needed! The first day I met Martin I instantly felt like I could breathe knowing I was in good hands. Cheryl and hollie -dream team thank you Hollie for all your help and smiles on the day too! Suzanne, Martin and Andy smashed the rooms and decorations. Honestly wouldn't have changed a thing. The whole team from the front desk staff, bar staff and waiting staff are so friendly and nothing is too much for them.

A very nicely situated hotel near to Chester. Lovely grounds, staff are pleasant and customer care orientated. Room was quite spacious with a nice sized bathroom. The bar is small, food is a little expensive for what you get but no worse than similar BW hotels. There was an issue with the bill at the end of the stay but a competent reception has hopefully sorted someone else's bar bill being credited to mine. Remember to always check your bill. Overall a nice stay and will return.

Nice setting

Just returned from a 2night stay at crabwall manor. Mother and daughter relaxing break. Room was ok good size, really comfy beds and very quiet. Breakfast was poor, hot breakfast was not hot but luke warm. Coffee is like tar. Evening meal al a carte was lovely but very pricey. Bar food ok but bar was really cold so not a pleasant experience. Wine is pricey we were paying £21 for 2 glasses of wine as they only had the high end wines in stock, according to bar staff. Spa needs refurbishment staff were not helpful and didn't make you feel relaxed or welcome especially the girl who was on reception of spa on 22/05/2024. Jacuzzi was broken so no bubbles. Steam room and sauna were ok but could do with regular checks by staff as plastic cups were left by previous guests. We were also not informed that there would be children swimming lessons starting. These are simple things that reception staff could have informed of. Would look for other accomodation when we return to Chester.
