Crabwall Manor Spa, BW Signature Collection

We have had a lovely stay, and it would only take a few tweaks to make this hotel better. Good: *It's in the perfect location, we took an uber into the centre of Chester for less than £5. *Breakfast was relaxed with a great selection as a buffet service. *Spacious room with all the amenities you need. *Plenty of free parking. *Beautiful grounds and really quiet at night. *Great value for money Needs Improving: *Cleaning standard is average, black mold around the taps in the bathroom that could be easily resolved. *Bathroom floor was desperate for a good mop *Bed wasn't the comfiest as 2 twins fastened together leaving a gap in the middle. *Staffing levels affecting customer service levels, we decided to order room service, took an age to answer the phone and then said could be collected from reception, kind of goes against the point of room service, so we left it, not great for the hotels add on sales if that happens everytime. *No enough bar staff, we ordered food but it was cold and one meal was not what we ordered but too hungry to wait for it to be replaced, apparently fish finger sandwich is identical to fish and chips anyway according to the waitress! Like I said it won't take much for this hotel to raise it's customer service standards to an excellent level, more staff will fix most of the issues, despite everything mentioned we would probably stay again.

We were a group of 6 friends staying for a 1 night spa break at Crabwall Manor We got an amazing deal and couldn’t fault the staff, from reception to the restaurant. Looking to book this spa break again with family for a special birthday as we enjoyed it so much.

Hotel was fine location wise for chester. Hotel room hadn't been hoovered and no t bags. We did complain but our issues weren't sorted during our stay. Check in was interesting as girl on reception didn't know if our room was ready.This was 6pm when we arrived. Thought this was strange when you can check in from 3pm. Breakfast was fine. The spa facilities needed upgrading and repairing.

We had our wedding at Crabwall Manor and honestly it was second to none! The staff worked tirelessly, and we wanted to give a special thank you to Andrew, Martin & Andy who were with us on the day of our wedding and nothing was too much to ask - they were incredible! Our guests felt that the wedding was so well organised and for us as a couple that made it so we could relax and enjoy our day! We recommend this hotel highly for weddings, hotel stays and the pool is also amazing!

I visited Crabwall manor for a friends wedding. The wedding itself was brilliant but the managers were rude to us and rude to staff. I witnessed a young girl and boy being shouted at by the manager leading the girl crying infront of us all. The way the staff treated them was appalling and was upsetting to see.

Lovely looking hotel, lovely big bedroom, great decor throughout. Reception staff were very welcoming and catering/bar staff worked hard to look after us. Breakfast was nice, though oddly laid out, fresh fruit salad by the cooked breakfast not by the cereals. Wedding was lovely, well run, though food was not as good as good have been. Chicken was as tough as old boots and roasties underdone. Evening buffet?? Miss it. Great place to stay, don’t eat there though.

My husband and I visited for a spa day. The spa experience its self was lovely the young lady who greeted us and the ladies proving the trea**ents were professional and knowledgeable. The spa day included afternoon tea for two and the young lady in the spa advised us this was booked for 12:30. She provided us with directions to the restaurant. We arrived at the restaurant just after 12:30 but it was empty so we stood waiting to be seated looking at all the names on the breakfast bookings, the bar was full of dirty glasses etc fro I presume breakfast and after 10 minutes of waiting and seeing nobody at all we went to reception. A lady there apologised and said she would find someone and asked us to take a seat. After further five minutes another lady came and said afternoon tea was only booked for one person not two she then said she would have to go and check and left us again. After a further five minutes men I presume members of staff appeared with what looked like their lunch and sat down. At this point we had had enough so we advised reception we were leaving and went for a pub lunch elsewhere. Thank god we made the decision to get dressed before going to the restaurant as it would have been extremely embarrassing if we were waiting around in our robes. Before posting this review I contacted the management team direct, who promised to investigate but I have heard nothing since so I can only assume they aren’t bothered.

I stayed a couple of nights at Crabwell Manor and was very impressed. The room was nice and spacious and the double bed was large and very comfortable and it was nice and quiet, both day and night, meaning I got a good night’s sleep and was able to work on my laptop in the room for part of each day. The swimming pool was great to use after a day’s work, as were the sauna and steam room. The location was very convenient for the travelling I had to do to get to my meetings. The staff were friendly and professional and the breakfast was also very good. I’d definitely stay again.

What a dreadful place to say. Incompetent from late arrival when room wasn’t ready ( waited an hour), to unclean room- dead spiders/dust everywhere, no water in room, restaurant staff didn’t know about the menu, got drinks wrong, rubbish WiFi, tv broken and screen picture glitches, bathroom tiles in grouted - all loose, it was the junior suite- just awful from start to finish . Would not recommend atall. Waste of money.
