Premier Inn Chester (Railway Station)

The staff were amazing, helpful and friendly from arrival to leaving. The room was really clean and amazingly refurbished. The breakfast was really nice the next morning. I received an email a few days before my stay to inform me of work being carried out and the car park would be unavailable, and they let me know the nearest car park instead. The only fault was the noise from other guests....I hardly got any sleep due to the walls being paper thin, you could hear everything like you're in the same room. I was kept awake most of the night due to the numerous noisy guests not only in the room next door...but being very loud going to their room down the corridor.

We love Premier Inn, we have stayed in a many over the years. This one at Chester Railway Station is the best by far. The Newly updated rooms are spot on. Clean, spacious and modern. The check was efficient. The lady on reception (with the locked hair, sorry we forgot your name) was very knowledgeable about the local area and helped with directions to the restaurant we had booked to meet friends. The hotel bar sells very nice cocktails and the hotel breakfast on the morning after was welcomed, plentiful and full value for money. It really set us up for the long journey home.

We had a fantastic time. We were fortunate to have an upgraded room, which was brilliant. Everything was clean even though there was some maintenance going on. The staff were lovely and friendly and the breakfast was brilliant as always.

I complained about the noise which woke us at 8am. The room was shaking at times. Was told the work had been planned for 5 months and we should have been not. We weren't and given that I booked in March I feel I should have been warned before making the booking.

Site doing a major refurbishment so lots going on. Accommodation excellent, minimal noise and very clean. Food exceptional and customer service very professional. Will be coming back as soon as possible despite the long distance. Chester itself is a wonderful place to visit.

This hotel is in dire need of a complete refurbishment. Frankly my first floor room was shabby and at £100 per night not cheap. The shower was ancient . Water was cold and no grab rails and a slippery shower base . No shower mat . Curtains hanging off the hooks . Very inferior compared to Travelodge which is much cheaper and has better facilities. I won’t be staying there again . The staff however are cheerful and friendly and the breakfast was fine . The owners need to get their act together and sort this hotel out asap .

Always a professional service and comfortable stay here. When having a break in Chester, we wouldnt stay anywhere else.

We tried out the plus rooms which were subtly better than standard rooms - but it's very marginal. You get the unlimited internet and a coffee machine if that turns you on.As usual helpful staff and a well kept room. Central location - but not too central, not really close to the station.

Although this isn't the newest of the Premier Inns, and could probably benefit from a refresh, it is really convenient for the station and the city centre. The reason for the 5 star review is the staff who were all polite and helpful at all times. A special mention for Emma who was very welcoming, friendly and efficient! She coped admirably with our group of 8 cyclists and their bikes and helpfully reserved a table for us each day for breakfast so we could all sit together. Thank you, Emma, great customer service all round.
