This hotel is in dire need of a complete refurbishment. Frankly my first floor room was shabby and at £100 per night not cheap. The shower was ancient . Water was cold and no grab rails and a slippery shower base . No shower mat . Curtains hanging off the hooks . Very inferior compared to Travelodge which is much cheaper and has better facilities. I won’t be staying there again . The staff however are cheerful and friendly and the breakfast was fine . The owners need to get their act together and sort this hotel out asap .

Always a professional service and comfortable stay here. When having a break in Chester, we wouldnt stay anywhere else.

We tried out the plus rooms which were subtly better than standard rooms - but it's very marginal. You get the unlimited internet and a coffee machine if that turns you on.As usual helpful staff and a well kept room. Central location - but not too central, not really close to the station.

Although this isn't the newest of the Premier Inns, and could probably benefit from a refresh, it is really convenient for the station and the city centre. The reason for the 5 star review is the staff who were all polite and helpful at all times. A special mention for Emma who was very welcoming, friendly and efficient! She coped admirably with our group of 8 cyclists and their bikes and helpfully reserved a table for us each day for breakfast so we could all sit together. Thank you, Emma, great customer service all round.

Hotel booked for 2 nights for my Sister and myself to meet up with family who live near Chester. Having both had long journeys (from Edinburgh and from Cornwall) we were looking forward to a restful stay. The first room offered was in the lower ground which was rather depressing. Also the window overlooked wheelie bins and rubbish so an alternative was immediately requested. Although on a higher floor, the bathroom left a lot to be desired. A high sided bath which was very difficult to climb in and out of - I didn't feel safe at all. The shower head was so very high and non-adjustable. The room was clean and the bed up to the usual Premier Inn high standard, breakfast was delicious (and good value) and the staff were lovely however the bathroom is in urgent need of an upgrade. For any future trips to Chester/to this Hotel, I would certainly enquire about the bathroom and ensure a lower ground floor room is not offered.

This Premier Inn was very central, close to St Peters Square tram stop, near the Palace theatre and surrounded my restaurants/fast food. Staff were lovely and helpful. The room was clean and both room and hallway smelled amazing! (Not had that before) It was my first time in a Premier Plus room, the water, snacks, fridge etc actually were really beneficial. Very accessible. There was a ramp coming in, there 3 lifts which were always quick. My room has a almost a walk in shower, just a very small step. I did have an issue with the shower but didn't get chance to mention on the day. Room 209 the shower pressure is bad. If I was there longer it would have been an issue, but not for my short trip

Premier Inn Chester 'City Centre' is only 5 mins from the railway station and busses. It only took about 30mins to get to Chester Zoo! My room was nice and clean. It was towards the center of the hotel, looking out at other rooms so very quiet and no traffic noise. Room was a good temperature and it was easy to control. Bed was comfy. It was nice and dark for sleeping, curtains stopped any light pollution getting into the room. The shower was good, warm (easily adjusted) and powerful! Breakfast was easy to arrange as I didn't book that in advance and was satisfying. Staff were pleasant throughout.

Stayed in many Prem Inns but didn't think to check for large towels until I got back late and had to go to reception in my pjs to get one! Staff friendly and helpful and brekkie same as usual. Good location by station but near road one side, station and canal 2 mins away.
