The Townhouse Chester

Just spent two nights in this lovely hotel in Chester. The hotel was spotless; our room was extremely comfortable, and the choice at breakfast was awesome. Staff were so friendly and helpful. We'd stay there in a heartbeat if we visit Chester again and recommend it without hesitation.

This place is brilliant. Everything spot on. Building, cleanliness, location wonderful staff, superb breakfast, comfortable bed, tasteful and attractive decor, recently refurbished. Can't wait to return. A special mention for Lucia, Nicky and Becky. So friendly and helpful they made the visit so enjoyable, lovely ladies!

Excellent two nights stay at this lovely newly refurbished hotel. Friendly staff from the moment we arrived at reception to bar service to breakfast service. Everything was spotless and nothing was too much trouble. Great selection of breakfast items and hot breakfast items cooked perfectly served with plenty of coffee, tea and juices. Won't hesitate to stay again when in Chester.

Spent two nights here recently and can't fault the place, staff very friendly and attentive, full.of good ideas for places to go in chester. Beds very comfortable, our was huge, clean and modern rooms. Hotel probably not suited for those with disabilities just due to the steps.

Just had a lovely two night stay with my wife at the Townhouse, can't fault it, from the moment we arrived and the very friendly welcome from the young lady on reception, our room was really nice, very clean and comfortable really stylish and well appointed, very comfortable large bed with great pillows, great powerful shower, great breakfast with lots of choice. Would like to thank all of the friendly welcoming efficient staff for making our stay so enjoyable. Hope to go back soon.

First return since refurbishment. ..they have done a great job it all looks great. Comfy beds and pillows good choice for breakfast. Great location for visiting Chester and still has the same friendly staff really glad we came back and will no doubt return again in the future.

Just returned from an overnight stay in The Townhouse, Chester. What a fabulous little hotel! Perfect location for the city centre and beautifully decorated throughout. The staff were wonderful, so friendly and accommodating. I would 100% stay there again and will recommend it to anyone visiting Chester.

Terrible experience and getting worse since departure. On arrival at reception our booking with pets was not correct with the staff member making us uncomfortable. After bumbling around reception 2 forms were placed without explanation to what they were to sign.feeling uncomfortable and stressed after waiting for 15 minutes a signed without reading. On going for a walk we were stopped again demanding an extra payment for the dogs after already paying on arrival which meant more time waiting at reception. The best part is 31 hours after departure I received an email requesting a payment of £150 without evidence of the claim made by the hotel because of the mess our dogs let the room. I’m sure this is a common tactic as being experienced travelers with pets we know the expectations on how to leave a room after stay with pets.The key card continued to fail meaning going back from the top floor to reception which was great fun. The breakfast we paid for was terrible. Cold scrambled eggs with cold coffee. Not a great start to the day. I feel insulted by this hotel and claims and costs they are trying to claim from me after such a lengthy time after check out. I have a feeling they won’t supply the evidence I requested to prove the accusations and rights to try charge me £150 to clean a room or say they missed out on bookings when the hotel wasn’t even full when we stayed.

Very welcoming, very friendly, very helpful. We were helped with our luggage to our room which was very clean. The whole townhouse has been upgraded. NOTHING was too much trouble and our dog, as are all dogs, was very welcome and catered for, the staff went out of their way to help and look after us, we will definitely book again.
