Pros: • New (5 years old) and not too large hotel • Good standard room at a reasonable price • Airy restaurant with good buffet breakfast • Small landscaped swimming pool Cons • Cold water in the swimming pool, no entry/exit steps • Only 5 chairs, which are still standing in 5cm of water: original but impractical. • Indeed, no room for your own toilet bag in the bathroom. We stayed here for 2 nights as a base to visit Chiang Mai. We have been to a dozen other 4 or 5 star hotels several times in this city over the last 25 years. We were really surprised by the quality of this comfortable and affordable 3*** hotel. The location itself is not in the most touristy areas of CM, but it is not remote either. I booked on the website of *********** and paid for a standard room in January 1500bt (40€) cancelable, all taxes included and with breakfast for 2. Our room 303 on the north was sufficiently large (6.6x3.6m = 24m²) with a good bed (1.80m wide) and tiled floor. Good air conditioning, large flat screen TV (which we couldn't get a picture from), WiFi. No coffee in the room but always for free in the lobby. Bathroom large enough with walk-in rain shower and toilet. The sink is placed outside the bathroom in a separate corner of the room. The room layout is perfect. Good blackout curtains. Small balcony with 1 (?) chair. 1 elevator for 3 floors and +-40 rooms. The breakfast buffet in the cozy but small restaurant was sufficient. No real restaurant for lunch/dinner. Nice swimming pool in a green small garden, but with fresh (read: cold) water and no steps to get out of the 1.40 meter deep water. In fact, the pool and garden are really squeezed between the hotel and the street.
