This is the second hotel in our Chiang Mai trip. Because of the good location and beautiful pictures, we are looking forward to this hotel. However, the old facilities and cramped space make it difficult for me to evaluate whether to recommend it to future tourists.
1. Service: The front desk is very professional, but after all, we have stayed in five hotels in Chiang Mai, and the service is indeed rare and not enthusiastic. It is interesting that when we entered the room, the young man took 2 minutes to introduce me to the bar, wardrobe and various facilities, and then concluded in one sentence that these are all charged. Haha, we were very amused and this is the first time we have seen such an introduction. There is free water, ice cream, and cold towels in the lobby, which is very considerate, but the cold towels shed seriously. I don’t think normal people will choose a hotel for these.
2. Facilities: We came before May Day, and there were very few people. The front desk arranged the best room for us, which is the one facing the swimming pool in the promotional photo. Heritage Hotel is really not deceptive. Whether it is the room or the public area, you just need to look closely and you will see signs of disrepair. There are almost no intact wooden materials such as doors and windows, and it is always difficult to lock the door. The toilet and bathroom are very old, even older than my grandfather’s house. Although I was lucky enough to stay in the best room, which means I can jump into the pool right outside, I still want to say that this room is worth the money. The pool is surprisingly small, and the decoration is mostly fake flowers. You have to walk around the hotel before closing at night.
I can give this hotel 3 points. There is nothing that makes us uncomfortable, but there is nothing that we are particularly satisfied with. If you come to Chiang Mai and want to stay in an expensive hotel, look at those above 2,000. The others are really very good in the 2-300 range. The Heritage Hotel is really not good. I don’t want you to step on the thunder like me.
