Most of the hardware facilities are good, but the trash cans in the room and toilet are too small. The overall atmosphere is great, clean and comfortable. Breakfast tastes good too. The pool is also great. The free bicycle rental service is also very good, but it is recommended to pay more attention to the brake problem. The brakes of some bicycles feel a bit loose. The location is very good, quiet and quiet. The only thing that made us uncomfortable was the attitude of the staff. I had paid all the housing payments online in advance, but I was asked to pay an additional deposit of 2,000 baht on site, which shocked us. I have stayed in so many hotels and I have never been asked to pay a deposit. Although the staff was still very polite, what we felt was insincerity and even a bit contemptuous. The staff said they were afraid that we would damage the facilities in the room, so they needed to pay a security deposit, which would be returned to us after we checked out. We still gave us 2,000 yuan, but it caused us inconvenience because we had to go directly to the airport to leave Thailand after checking out, so returning us 2,000 yuan in cash after checking out was very troublesome for us and took up time on our trip. in budget. So the next day we told the staff that please return the cash to us. We can temporarily swipe the card instead. However, when we checked out on the last day, they said that we could not swipe the money back. We need to withhold the two thousand yuan and wait for 14 days. If there is no problem It will be brushed back. We don’t understand again here. If cash can be refunded immediately, why do you have to wait 14 days to swipe a card? We understand that tourists from a certain country may have caused losses to the hotel, which led to your reaction, but it is really uncomfortable for us to face the guests with a suspicious or even contemptuous attitude. Although the staff was very polite and tried their best when explaining Keep smiling, but we can feel the insincerity and discrimination underneath the smile.

Lavana Hotel Chiangmai

Lavana Hotel Chiangmai

Chiang Mai Ancient City Chiang Mai|0.09km from Miss Cornery
I recently spent five nights in this hotel, arriving from Bangkok. First impressions of Lavana were brilliant, the entrance is tucked away down a decked walkway and the reception area is lovely and welcoming. The check in staff were excellent and really informative about the hotel and immediate area. The room, which was a deluxe suite, was amazing - the best hotel room I've ever stayed in in Thailand and possibly one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in in general. It was immaculately clean, comfortable and spacious. It also contained a stocked drinks fridge and complimentary snacks (fruit and crisps), luxurious white bath robes, slippers and a wide range of complimentary toiletries. The hotels pool area was small but clean and I highly recommend the restaurant attached to the hotel. The food was fresh, delicious and high quality. There are only two things that I think that Lavana could improve on. These are the lack of hangers in the wardrobe - there was only two, which I do not think is sufficient and the seating/lounge area around the pool. There was extremely limited seating at the pool area and no loungers available. As space is limited I would suggest having fold up loungers for guests to use. To sum up, this is a gorgeous hotel which is definitely worth the money paid. The staff are wonderful, the room was immaculate and comfortable and the location is excellent for exploring Chiang Mai.

Estia Chiangmai

Chiang Mai Ancient City
We wanted to stay through Jan.1 at our original luxury hotel, but we could not at the time of booking, nor, was there a vacancy during our stay. We looked at google maps and tried all of the places closest. No vacancies. We found this budget hotel that had ONE room left! It is in walking distance to Three Kings Monument, Phra Singh, and other Old City venues, massage spas, etc. Estia has a cottage feeling, like a hotel in rural Europe with Thai surroundings. Everything was clean, large bathroom, hot water, the usual soaps and shampoos. bring your own conditioner and shavers. We always bring our own just in case, but sometimes these budget hotels will give you them if you ask. The wifi was strong. The TV had the usual Thai channels with a few in English. The gardens were sweet with lots of flowers. The pool is clean and more lounge chairs than at some luxury hotels! The indoor dining area is large for groups and you can sit outside but it might not be convenient for toasting bread etc. We only ate breakfast, and, at 149 baht, it was very reasonable. A water jug and clean glasses, an automated americano and espresso machine, fresh milk and cream, cereals including muesli etc. White and whole wheat bread. You choose from menu pancakes or eggs of different cooking methods. Two eggs. You get a small plate of two types of fruit. If you calculate the cost of coffee, this 149 baht price is very fair. A suggestion for certain travelers: you could stay at a luxury resort a day or more for the experience then switch to Estia for the rest of the week unless you are very picky, because if you are a tourist out all day then this is just a place to sleep. We live in Chiang Mai as retirees. Staying in Estia brought me back to my youth traveling around Europe! At $27 a night, Estia may surprise you. It is an older place but we are concerned with cleanliness. Estia is very clean. Grab Taxi easily finds Estia,

Pissamorn House

Chiang Mai Ancient City
I learned about this homestay through a colleague's introduction and was lucky to book a room. The owner of the homestay, George, is very intimate. Before arriving, he will take the initiative to ask if he needs an airport pick-up service. He will also introduce the Chiang Mai attractions along the way and take me to a place where you can exchange money at a more cost-effective exchange rate. The room is spacious and comfortable, with a small balcony and air conditioning. There is a fruit snack downstairs, which you can enjoy at any time. Although there are not many breakfast options, it is very delicious, especially the homestay owner Kim fried eggs and their handmade toast and jam, which is very memorable. The location of the homestay is very good. It only takes walking distance to most of the city's attractions. There are also many shops around. It is a very convenient and value for money choice.
Pak Ping the Cozy Living in Chiangmai

Chiang Mai Ancient City
We stayed at Pak Ping during the November 2019 Yi Peng and Loi Krathong lantern festival events, as well as forays to Doi Inthanon, Doi Suthep, Lamphun, and an elephant experience. The hotel manager, May, was extremely helpful in making recommendations and setting up rides as needed. Our rooms were spacious and clean, though bathroom size was small, with toilet and shower sharing the same floor space - not atypical for a guesthouse. Pak Ping also offers free breakfast of hot and cold food. The location is ideal, very close to Wat Phra Singh and Wat Chedi Luang. If ever I return to Chiang Mai, I'll stay here again.
The Sila Boutique Bed & Breakfast

The hotel has several small buildings that are very clean. It is nice that there are no insects in the house. The sanitary conditions are very good. It is very quiet. The beauties at the front desk are also very attentive. It is very close to Wat Phra Singh and walks about 1 minute from Thapae Gate. 20-30 minutes, there are many restaurants around, the transportation is convenient, it is recommended to stay.
