A very good experience. You have to call before checking in and the owner will give you a key. The owner's sister is very nice. The only bad thing is that the site is isolated and there will be construction starting at 7:30 in the morning. If you are a person who wakes up easily, there will be construction. Wow… where do I even begin. Firstly the hotel exteriors are beautiful. The pool is serene, the designs are lovely and traditional Thai style. The rooms are spacious with a large bed. Very quiet and great sleep even though we were jet lagged. Breakfast is superb, lots of choices even for vegetarians and vegans like us. The location is superb, less than 10 minutes from the airport, right by the old city, walking distance to a couple of night markets. The best part of our stay was the Loy Krathong festivities. We were lucky to be there during the period this year. In the morning the hotel would provide free Krathong making activities with delicious Thai snacks and desserts and in the evening provided food, music, the lucky draw, lantern decorations, and all the Loy Krathong activities. Where we felt the service went above and beyond was during this evening party. We had come to Chiang mai to see our Thai side of our family including our 90 year old grandma who is in a wheelchair. She’s been sick for a while. She as well as our two other family members were allowed to participate and eat and dance for free of charge even though they didn’t have to do that. Furthermore the staff made sure that she had a great time - we haven’t seen yai (Thai word for grandma) this happy in so long especially since she got sick. She was dancing and smiling in the wheelchair! The lady who MC’d as well as the security guard went above and beyond. And all the staff there (there were tens of them!) even waved in a line as her car left. The other members of the family said that we must come back here next year for Loy Krathong so that’s what we will do. Thank you again to all the staff. You made the stay very special, made my family feel emotional.

I’m in love with this place. Really convenient location and, walking into the property, you feel like you’re in another world. It’s a gorgeous and peaceful place. I have never stayed anywhere with such thoughtful attention to detail. For example: they gave me a “welcome back” cake as well as a hand-written note on my most recent visit which was impressive considering my last stay was almost 4 years ago! Upon checkout, they prepared a little sandwich for me for the taxi ride to Pai (which they also facilitated). The afternoon tea is delightful as is the breakfast and lunch/dinner options. Everyone is so lovely and helpful and kind. I feel truly taken care of when I’m here and am looking forward to my next visit.

Stopped here a few times, mainly because my Thai in-laws love the place, only because it is so close to the airport. Every visit something was wrong!! Not exactly the cheapest accommodation either.The toilet would not flush in one room, the taps at the bathroom sink turned with the handles in another room. We could not sleep because of the road noise (we were on the 5th floor!) in another room. The wi-fi was non-existent in one room.There was no hot water in another room. Every room the shower trays filled up with soapy water and was very slippery; dangerous in fact. The breakfast was OK for me, nothing flash. Toast, jam, juice, tea, coffee, milo, all the basics. Not real sure why people were climbing through the window to get here though. One lady I saw scraped all the brown off her toast, so that is was just white!!?? (Something to do with Thais believing that toast causes cancer I was told). Loved the sign beside the toaster that actually worked (the other one was broken on every visit and was just sitting there collecting dust). No cancer from that one! Words to this effect: ”Please do not put butter and jam on bread before placing in toaster.” At least the beer from reception 'fridge was cheaper than most shops. Nice and cold too. Gotta love it!

I arrived to the hotel and on the outside it looked really nice, and the staff was very nice. The girl who checked me in thow wasn't that great to understand english, so I was lucky to speak some thai. The didn't help you with your bags up to the room, but I didn't mind because I travel with good working bags that has wheels. When I came in the room the first thing that hit me was a bad smell from the toilet. (I was given a room on the top floor 608 to be precise. The size of the room was ok, but the furniture I could see how dirty and worn down rhey where. It looked like something the bought on a fleemarket. Further on I tried the bed it was the worst matress I have ever slept on, not only that the hotel is next to a road and at night it was so noicy from traffic so I didn't get much sleep. Sometimes I woke up and thought I had a motorbike in my room. I had booked a stay for 5 nights, but after 1 night I decided to move. So after one more painful night I checked out from this hotel and will NEVER return again.

We stayed here for one night before our flight out in the morning. The hotel has unique Japanese style with onsen on site. We tried this and it was interesting. Kids were allowed as well. We booked a family room with a full bed and bunk beds on top for the kids. They loved it. The staffs at the hotel were helpful and even made a wonderful Japanese breakfast in the morning for us. Too bad our flight was so early that we had to dine and run. Would have enjoyed more time to savor the salmon plate. The evening prior we were able to walk down the road to the street food market. We had a rental car and there was a nice parking area for it. We would stay here again.

We stayed in this hotel for a few days. At the beginning is quite good, the hotel staffs are friendly. The breakfast is quite good. The room looks new, the bed is quite comfortable but the pillow is hard. The bathroom is good but sometimes have a problem with the hotel water system. The swimming pool is very cold all days, we only can use a few hours when the sun is very hot. We bought a tour to Chiang Rai from the hotel, the place is beautiful but the tour guide isn't professional and acknowledge, she didn't show us or explain anything about the temple. So we don't recommend to buy any tours from this hotel. The worst thing happened is my girlfriend got bitten by bedbugs, we reported to the manager but they didn't listen to us even my gf showed them the proofs about the bedbugs. Overall, we will recommend other hotels for the same price.
