This is truly a tremendous place. The service was absolutely outstanding. literally every person working there did an excellent job taking care of every possible need. The nature experience, the location, the views, the time with the elephants was really special and unique. The "tents" are so comfortable, large, well maintained and terrific views. The Burma Bar is really a must for sunsets. We did a couple of experiences and both were perfect. Really, can't say enough good things.....

We had the most wonderful experience. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff seemed to genuinely care. Interacting with the elephants has been a highlight of our trip, particularly the level of bond between them and their mahouts. Thanks to the team for their special dinner that they arranged for our anniversary. We cannot recommend the resort highly enough.

This was the highlight of our trip to Thailand. The camp is amazing and the opportunity to interact with the elephants was incredible. The staff could not have been better or more thoughtful, especially Poy, who went out of her way to make our stay special and attended to details before we even knew that we needed or wanted them addressed. Also, the food was excellent!

I've had the opportunity to stay at the Tented Camp three times and each was better than the last. I was worried the change in the elephant procedures of "walking versus riding" would negatively impact the experience, but instead it elevated it. Instead of having a single view from top of the elephant, you get a wholistic view from every angle as you get to walk side-by-side in their natural environment. I never could have imagined that walking beside them would eclipse riding. We enhanced our experience at the camp with an Elephant Camp dinner and released khom loy lanterns into the sky - it was a beautiful experience. Additionally, having the Land Rover sundowner activity was the closest thing we have felt to a safari experience in Africa. Our younger travel companions loved the Instagramable moments. Surprisingly, one of our favorite days, outside of the elephants, was our hiking and biking day with guides Rain and Norman. Their easy and upbeat personalities only added to the sights and sounds of the local explorations. As it relates to accommodations, we stayed in the Explorer Lodge. It remains unmatched and above all settings we have experienced to date. Perfectly appointed and such a sense of place. Possibly the only thing we may offer to modify is the heat settings on the pool. The hot days would have benefited from a cooler temperature to the water, but it was the perfect temp for evenings. Overall food and beverage was top-notch and a robust offering from western cuisine to exceptional Thai food. We hope to be back again soon.

Elephants were chained for the entire day right in front of our room many times we saw the elephants attempt to get to each other but the chains would not allow them. NATURAL HABITATE The elephants are chained almost all day. They are not moved from the spot they are placed from morning to dusk. In some cases we saw 2 elephants trying to reach for other but unable due to the chains. SIGNS OF STRESS One female we saw 4 times was swaying back and forth with her trunk swaying upper body was swaying she never stopped. We were told by the Four Seasons staff that the elephants were only chained at night yet every elephant we saw was chained all day. NONE were able to roam free. Suggestions: tourists go in safari vehicles like Africa does to see the elephants. At Nagala tent camp they have a set up that attracts to the lodge and the elephants drink from the pool. We were told this wasn’t possible as the trucks would scare them yet there were trucks and motor bikes in the elephant areas all day and quite a few of them. The staff and service provided was excellent. The accommodations were fair to good considering this was Four Seasons. We have stayed at other tent camps which were far superior.

Whilst the staff were amazing and the food and drink excellent as were the tours , the elephant experience and the complementary massage for 2 ( everything was included in price) we were disappointed with the rooms which were dark and the facilities antiquated. We knew we would be staying in a tent but didn’t realise that the WC, shower, bath and basins would be so old and rustic. The bed was good but the lighting inadequate and it was impossible to roll up the layers of plastic and canvas blinds which form the walls of the tent . Also we were in the furthest tent from the restaurant so we needed a jeep to get there although this service was excellent. It was difficult to get in and out of the jeep . Another criticism is the bar shuts at 8 which meant there was nothing to do after dinner. There are no TV’s in room .

Absolutely magical, the staff is amazing and more helpful and friendly than can be imagined.   We would come back in a heartbeat and stay longer.  Let the staff help you plan events, from bike riding, to elephant hikes, fishing and dinner on the mountain peak.  They figured out activities to make our experience special. The staff helped us fill our short visit with many amazing experiences. Norman’s City tour and biking is not to be missed. Ton took us on two elephant hikes and shared numerous stories. We enjoyed visiting with him at breakfast as much as we did with elephant Linda and Yuk Fa. We have traveled all over the world, because of the beautiful staff and surroundings, this is our favorite.

This hotel has been on my bucket list for such a long time. And boy, it didn’t disappoint. this is not your ordinary Four Seasons, instead you’ll sleep in a (very luxurious) tent with views over Laos and Myanmar. There are only around 15 tents, all very private and so it gets never crowded. We booked the four-day adventure package which included e.g. Spa treatments, visiting the elephants twice, bike tour etc. The staff is incredible - so attentive, kind and welcoming. Special shoutout to the camp manager Poy, who is such a great host, making sure that everybody is having their best time. Also Norman, who is the funniest and most knowledgable guide, He can do it all: elephant guide, bike instructor or temple guide in Chiang Mai. Of course, the highlights are the visits to see the elephants. The ******** Seasons elephants belong also to a foundation, where „unemployed“ elephants can live their best life. Contrary to earlier days, you are no longe allowed to ride elephants (which I am very supportive of), but you can visit them in the grassland or up on the hill. There is only one restaurant for breakfast, lunch & dinner, however the menu is very diverse (not only Thai). Everything we tasted was 10/10. I highly recommend to stay 4 nights to make use of all the amenities and also it’s quite a trip to get there from BKK. Poy & team: thank you very much for making our stay unforgettable - we’ll cherish the memories forever!!

Stayed here with my husband for our honeymoon. The rooms are so beautifully designed and the staff is incredible. They had a wine and cheese prepared for us on our first night and our somelier was amazing we loved him along with the rest of the staff and the camp manager. Airlines lost my husbands bag so they also let us do some laundry without charge which was so kind. My only reason to give this a 4 out of 5 instead of a 5 out of 5 was that some of the listed complimentary services on their website werent offered (such as a cocktail making class) or were not complimentary like the hike. We did the small hike that ended up costing over 200$ and even though our guide Rain was awesome, the hike was not worth that price. Their Christmas dinner prepared was also very intimate and beautiful. Thank you for a great stay Four Seasons Tented Camp.
