This hotel is conveniently located to restaurants, some high-end and also cheaper eats like Jimmy-Johns, Jersey Mike's, Dunkin' Donuts, and others. We walked to the 7-ll around the corner to get almond milk and snacks. We walked to the river to take the cruise and walked to Shake Shack for lunch. The room had everything we needed including prompt hot water. The shower could be designed better. The knobs to turn on water are on the same end as the grab bar. The bedding was very comfortable, and we had a refrigerator and coffee maker. There is plenty of room to hang clothes. They do no clean during your stay but brought towels on alternate days.I was told this was because they were short-handed because of COVID. Breakfast is not included.

I had a medical procedure scheduled at Rush hospital on October 12th, 2022. It was scheduled very early in the morning so, instead of getting up at 4:30 am and making the drive to Chicago, I decided to book a room at the Marriott Medical district. Upon arrival we were wonderfully greeted by a professional young man named Gregory at the valet parking area. We then went to check in at the front desk and again we were greeted by a nice courteous young man named Michael. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was extremely enjoyable. After my surgery, I wasn't feeling up to driving home so we decided to stay an extra night. As we checked out on the 13th of Oct. Everyone, starting with a housekeeper to the front desk and valet made it a point to ask me how I was feeling. I thought it was so thoughtful and kind of them all. In this day and age, it is very hard to find adequate employees, let alone good people with a great work ethic and who are conscientious and kind. I can say this because my career was in restaurant management. I have always believed that if you are good to your employees, they will give 100% for you and your company. Great job Marriott for finding and keeping your people and atmosphere a wonderful place to stay. Sincerely, Lorraine DeAngelis.

Always my go to when I am in Chicago. My friends and I came up to celebrate my 50th birthday . We got there at 9am and were checking on the spot (even upgraded to a suite) The entire stay was wonderful , staff friendly , rooms clean . Will definitely stay here again. Want to recognize Joc(sp?) for going above and beyond for my friends and I . Thank you !
