"The rooms are spacious and comfortable, though the furnishings are a bit dated. The lobby is pleasant, and the breakfast restaurant is well-organized, with good service. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the hotel's location is convenient, though you might encounter some unsavory characters outside. Overall, the experience was positive, but the property could use a refresh: "old" always tends to give the impression of not being perfectly clean, even though it is. Occasionally, there are also unpleasant odors."

"Claridge house is located close to Chicago History Museum and couple blocks to shoreline of Lake Michigan, many nice restaurants in walking distance and easy to Uber around. The building is old fashioned and very nice, front desk staff is very professional and friendly. I reserved a room with two queen beds, which is nice and clean with a very spacious bathroom. There is valet parking next door, expensive but kind of reasonable with the location. Overall I enjoyed my stay."
