Amazing
GGuest UserThe room is large with a well-equipped kitchen. We didn’t cook as free breakfast was served. Breakfast was great with lots of varieties, western style. Location is great, close to all kinds of transport, the largest Starbucks and different tourist spots.

SShi raI was very pleased with the comfortable room. Although I could hear the tram running all night, I understood this was due to its central location. The breakfast was the best part! It also seemed to be a better deal if you booked with breakfast included.
However, the service really let them down, and I've significantly deducted points for it. After checking out at 12 PM, I waited an incredibly long time for my valet car – it didn't arrive even after fifty minutes, nor by 1:30 PM. We couldn't get in touch with the valet attendant, and the nonchalant attitude of a blonde staff member was also very frustrating. We couldn't even pick up our ordered pizza on time.
Due to these delays, we were late for our 1:30 PM lunch reservation and ended up arriving at 2 PM, missing one of our planned activities altogether. However, the place we had lunch had such excellent service and delicious food that we ended up leaving Chicago on a positive note.

JJC ♡Considering US prices, this room rate is really cheap. There's an unavoidable resort fee of $29.35 USD (including tax) charged daily. So, you should definitely make full use of the in-room coffee machine and the gym upstairs (though I didn't use either, even though the coffee was Starbucks – I just went across the street for my Starbucks fix). At check-in, they put a hold on my credit card for a deposit, the exact amount of which I wasn't sure of. Based on my credit card notification, it seemed to be roughly the same amount as the total resort fees for my stay, rather than the standard $100 per day. (I asked, and they genuinely don't accept cash for the deposit, so no need to exchange too much cash; I just used my card for everything). You do have to go to the front desk daily for bottled water. But I thought the front desk staff were all really nice! Especially one slightly older but very elegant Caucasian gentleman. That's because I kept pestering them about the deposit amount and then, at check-out, I kept asking for a receipt for it, haha. In reality, the amount they put a hold on at check-in isn't actually charged. They only charge you after check-out for the resort fees multiplied by the number of days. You can still ask for a breakdown, and it's just $25 + $4.35 per day. No need to worry about waiting for a deposit refund to show up on your bank statement. Also, storing luggage on the first floor costs $2 per piece.
The hairdryer is wall-mounted, but it's not like those weak ones; it's quite powerful enough. The showerhead is also fixed, not a handheld one, which made washing a bit difficult. The sink faucet for hot and cold water is very responsive; for someone from a warmer Asian country who was nearly frozen outdoors, it was great not to be surprised by the water temperature from the sink.

GGuest UserMy family and I arrived around 330AM on a Friday night/Saturday morning.
Service: 4/5
The Night staff was awesome, hospitality was IMPECCABLE! From the receptionist , bellhop helper, security, you name it! I wish I could remember their names but the receptionist was a young African American male about early-mid 20s! The morning crew and afternoon crew need some pointers from the night shift staff because they need some work.
Rooms: 3/5
Our room had 2 full size beds, they were nice and spacious for all 4 of us (3 adults & 1 child). No microwave was an inconvenience but it wasn’t too big of a deal since our short was stay.
Overall I would rate our stay a 4/5 (Would have been 3.5/5 had it not been for the service we experienced when checking in.

GGuest UserRelatively good location, within 10-15 minutes walking distance to a lot of good restaurants. Safe at night, about 10 minutes walk to red line.
Service from staff were friendly, felt welcomed.
Property rooms are dated, old carpet, stains on walls and dirt on bathroom floor.
Bed and pillows were comfortable.
For the price I paid, I find it was a reasonable option for an overnight stay at Chicago.

TTerence CaoBe careful, there is a hidden charge ”A $25 daily urban experience fee will be charged to each room” at this hotel Fairmont Chicago - Millennium Park. The breakfast charge is very tricky if you have prepaid. 1st you have to argue that you have prepaid for the breakfast for each person in the room. 2nd you need to ask and confirm with the front desk how much the credit is for the breakfast you have paid (my case $38 for each person daily, covers taxes and tips). It is not buffet breakfast, you need to pay extra when you check out if you have ordered more than your credit for the breakfast. When I asked that if I missed one breakfast, can I use the extra credit for the next day. The answers were different from different staff members.
A very expensive hotel focusing on big conferences, there are no microwave oven, empty refrigerator (you can request) in the room and swimming pool. Do not lift up the drinks and snacks in the box on the table (there are sensors underneath) unless you don't mind to be charged. The existing refrigerator is full of drinks. I was afraid to touch it, even the concierge didn't know how to open the refrigerator lock. But the coffee and tea are free. There is a person (not housekeeper) comes to the room to check and refill all the drinks and snacks including the free ones.
We booked our room many weeks earlier, after we checked in I realized that the room prices dropped comparing our original prices, maybe not enough conference people attending.
Hope the information is helpful for you.

GGuest UserIt was pretty good. I was worried because it was dirty, but it was just dust in places you couldn't see. And I paid an extra $20 for the reservation fee! The hotel's location was great.

GGuest UserThe hotel itself was decent. However, Ctrip completely failed to inform me that, besides the $15 city tax, there was also a $4 miscellaneous fee, and what's even more infuriating, a compulsory $25 charge. The staff member who checked me in deliberately withheld this information. After checking out, my card was then hit with exorbitant charges.

DDanson17I've never had such an experience before. In my whole life I barely give 2 stars feedback to property, honestly I just wanna give 1 star feedback but the residents are friendly and nice that why I add one more star for them. The location is really convenient, room setting is super clean and organization. However, the black old lady who works at front desk is really mean and rude, she tried to bully me when I was checking in. Her service attitude likes she's guest I'm staff, and I owed her money, too. After check in my mood is really down, so I can't get any reason is why I pay almost $400 a night come here to get treatment like that. If you come to check Chicago I won't recommend this hotel for, or if you like the hotel but don't come to check in around 11am-1pm on Saturday!

GGuest UserI was to pay 117 at check in per room. Hotel made me par 285 for something I didn’t have time to use which was tickets to attractions and that fee included a fee for checking out. ..49 a room for coupons snd 65 per room check out fee. Our car was too tall for the 85.00 a night parking but the garage at the corner only charged 58.00 a night. I wouldn’t recommend driving downtown Chicago unless you like being stressed out. I’m asking trip.com to reimburse the difference between the 117 and 185.
