SsknoseyThe free breakfast is not a full buffet but a choice of egg and then usually fried potato and beefburger patty or slices of sausage. the rest was tiny yoghurt and bread for toast, or make your own waffles. there is tea coffee and hot chocolate. There was cereal and porridge but sometimes it is made so thin that its not worth eating.
There is no tea in the room, just coffee. The machine had a disposable tray but they ran out so I used the same one for 9 days for tea and coffee (i got teabags from the breakfast room). Housekeeping never supplied what you asked for first time, or even second. If you want something and ask at 2pm, you will get it if you chase a couple of times afterwards by 9-10pm.
There was also alot of messing about with respect to check out time. I am a member of the loyalty programme which is meant to give you an automatic late checkout. The manager gave it to me but then when I went back to ask about extending it further for a fee, it was clear the other guy behind the counter was on a power trip and the day before started saying I shouldnt have got it and as it was the manager, he wouldnt withdraw it but he could and I should only get an hour and be charged $25/hr after that etc. He was just a mean spiteful man who saw an opportunity to cause worry and distress and he did it. I had luggage to store and it was a late flight so I had to know whether to pack to store it to check out at midday, or 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 (they were messing me about with all times) but this is why I gave a 1 star for service. It is not at all professional but childish and spiteful. I had arranged the extended checkout days before and the day before they were messing me about when I had to pack and had a schedule of things to do? The worst service in any hotel I have ever been in. Hilton is no longer a 5 star experience it seems. 1 star for service.

GGuest UserThe room was really clean, well-equipped, nice, and the views were absolutely amazing. We enjoyed the pool area almost every day. However, the service and management are incredibly disappointing. During our 4-night stay, the Xfinity TV system didn't work at all. We reported it to front desk, but nobody showed up. As sports fans, we missed the NHL Finals and the soccer World Cup entirely. On top of that, the hotel has been holding an $800 security deposit on my credit card for nearly a month since check-out. I have sent two emails directly to the General Manager, to request compensation for the broken amenities, but I have been completely ignored. Very unprofessional post-stay customer service. Beware of their communication failures.

AAlicia RaffoneFriday we got there got to check in early which was great we was on the 8th floor view was great I out the air at 65F bout two clock after hours being gone at 6 clock the room was hot I called down the first desk no problem I’ll have mateinice come right up two hours later nothing I called back down and talk to someone else they insure me that someone will be up an hour I called down and said since no one is coming can I get extra blankets so I can sleep on the floor 450 for a night and they brought the blankets up in no time, very not happy

It's also conveniently located very close to the University of Chicago. The breakfast, served from 7-10 AM, was delicious.

GGuest UserThe hotel was very clean and the service was excellent. Check-in and check-out were quick. The accessibility to major tourist attractions is really good. Don't expect too much from the breakfast, but the coffee was delicious! Water isn't provided as standard, so buy some when you check in. There's a supermarket right nearby.

SSteven nguyen 1990The hotel is beautiful and clean, located right in the city center. However, the service from the baggage handling staff was not enthusiastic; we had to carry our own luggage into the hotel, find our own luggage in the storage room, and carry it out to the car ourselves.

GGuest UserThe room isn't huge, but it's clean and elegant. The service was excellent, and the valet parking was very convenient. Luggage storage was also a breeze. The hotel's location is fantastic, with plenty of shops to explore right outside. I'd definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Chicago.

TTongZ_VAGreat location, spacious suite, Tom at front desk was very nice and professional. The only issue was that two elevators were not in service so it took a bit longer to get up and down. Overall I would still recommend this hotel
