Great
GGuest UserPool was saline and clean and warm enough to actually use. Breakfast was nice. Parking was $50 in the self park next door. Entrance houses 3 hotels which is confusing. Hotel had clean products and no terrible chemical or mold smells.

LLaodou3The hotel's 15th-floor reception hall is super tall and large, the rooms are spacious and bright, the bedding is skin-friendly, soft and comfortable, and from the window you can overlook the five iron bridges across the Chicago River and the buildings on both sides that are full of stories, and get a glimpse of the majesty of this century-old industrial city... The only drawback is that the water output of the shower is too small!

GGuest UserThe facilities were good. The check in staff was excellant and very accommodating. Upon my return I discovered a 40.00 charge on my card. When I called to get a explanation of this I was placed on a lengthy hold then asked for my confirmation number which I had to look up as it was not readily available. When I returned to the call it was disconnected. Had to call back hold again then asked for last name not confirmation number. So a bit confused about that. Then told that the charge was 40.00 for parking, surprise surprise. I don't mind the fee, the surprise I do mind as well as the condescending, surly attitude from the person I spoke with. Think I'll choose some where else on my next trip to chicago.
GGuest UserI stayed here one night for a concert
The room was ok, nothing special for the price. The hotel is in a great neighborhood, and check in was a breeze. The staff was friendly and showed me to my room. However, checkout is stated at 11am. Ten minutes before checkout, the staff was banging at my door rushing me to get out because the next guest was already there.
In all other experiences, when I arrive at a hotel early before check-in, they don’t go rush to kick the guest out of my room before their designated checkout time. I drop my bags off and enjoy whatever place I’m visiting and go to my room later. I don’t see why this was necessary and put a sour end to my stay.
EErian RoseDuring our recent stay at this hotel, we experienced a range of both positive and negative aspects. We made reservations on New Year’s Eve, marking our first visit to Chicago with my partner and friends.
While we enjoyed the overall experience, we found the hotel to be more expensive than in the downtown area. The parking fees were particularly exorbitant, and the open space parking lot raised concerns about safety. Additionally, we noticed a discrepancy between the number of towels and cups provided in the room and the number specified on our reservation. Despite promptly contacting the hotel upon arrival, we were still short of towels and cups for two days.
Despite these issues, we acknowledge that the stay itself was pleasant.
MMinfukeThe location is quite good, with convenient transportation and complete surrounding amenities, making shopping and dining very easy. The room facilities are decent, but the price is a bit high for this area.

KK.MattOur room on the 8th was spotless and well-kept. Location was perfect for easy access to the Lyric Opera Theatre. Our only complaint was the breakfast. Plan on bringing your own or eating elsewhere.

BBanny3311This hotel certainly shows its age, with décor that harks back to the styles of the 1960s or 70s—a true blast from the past. For travelers who value ambiance and modern aesthetics, this might not be the ideal pick. On the plus side, you do get two complimentary bottles of water. However, the room I stayed in was quite noisy—situated right next to the subway, and the air conditioner roared like an engine.

GGuest UserMy Honest Experience After Reading Negative Reviews
I was initially quite hesitant to check into this hotel after reading a number of detailed and lengthy negative reviews, especially those highlighting hidden fees and cleanliness issues. However, upon arrival with my partner, I was pleasantly surprised.
The hotel was clean and well-decorated, with a modern and cohesive style. Our check-in process was fast and efficient, and the receptionist was friendly and happy to answer all of our questions—especially about the fees mentioned on the hotel’s website.
One of the main issues people seem to bring up is the so-called “hidden” fees. In my experience, these fees are not actually hidden—they’re listed on the hotel’s official website. That said, they could definitely be communicated more clearly. It’s important to read the fine print when booking and during check-in. While the fees may not be obvious at first glance, the hotel is legally allowed to include them since they are technically disclosed.
Our room was spacious and comfortable, with enough space to hang clothes. There were multiple hangers, and the locker-style closets matched the hotel’s sporty decor. The floor and bathroom were clean overall, though I did spot a spider in the corner of the shower—but nothing alarming.
The downstairs common area includes an open kitchen with a communal fridge and even a crockpot, which was a nice surprise. There were also several games available, like ping pong and air hockey, which makes this place family- and couple-friendly.
Guests are allowed to enjoy drinks provided in the kitchen. If you’re sensitive to noise, particularly trains, I recommend requesting a room farther down the hall on the first floor. Our room was in a quiet spot—I barely noticed the train, and when I did, it was more like soft white noise. Still, bringing earplugs might help if you’re a light sleeper.
Overall, I recommend this hotel. It’s in a nice area, the decor is visually appealing, and the stay was enjoyable. Just be aware of a $120 refundable deposit (if no damage is done to the room) and an additional $50 guest fee. Knowing that ahead of time helps avoid surprises.
I’m very grateful for the pleasant stay and would return again.
