Guest UserPool was saline and clean and warm enough to actually use. Breakfast was nice. Parking was $50 in the self park next door. Entrance houses 3 hotels which is confusing. Hotel had clean products and no terrible chemical or mold smells.

The hotel is located in the Loop area, with a relatively high safety factor.
The location is excellent, close to the Chicago River, and it is very convenient for boat trips. It is very convenient to go to various attractions, whether it is the Magnificent Mile or Millennium Park and the Chicago Art Museum, you can walk there.
The hotel service is OK, and they do not actively provide toiletries, but you can ask the front desk to provide them.
I need to remind you: when choosing a room, it is recommended to choose a room without breakfast. The so-called breakfast is just a $20 coupon for you to go to the restaurant on the first floor, but you can't have a satisfactory breakfast for $20, and you need to tip and pay taxes. The key is: the difference between breakfast and no breakfast is almost enough to book a room without breakfast. The explanation given by the hotel is: the price with breakfast allows customers to cancel the reservation at any time a few hours before check-in, which only gives you the right to cancel the reservation. This is the only unpleasant point of the stay. I stayed for 5 nights and spent nearly 6,000 yuan to buy this breakfast. Although the solution provided by Ctrip is a drop in the bucket, it is more important to be in a good mood when you go out, so I just give up. I hope Ctrip can clearly state the terms and conditions in the product details in the future, and I also hope that the comments can help everyone~

Guest UserMy stay at the Moxy Chicago was fantastic! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was vibrant, modern, and welcoming. The room was thoughtfully designed—every inch of space was used efficiently without sacrificing comfort or style.
One of my favorite parts was spending time on the outdoor patio. It was the perfect place to relax, enjoy the beautiful weather, and chat. The lobby was full of life with a great DJ creating a fun vibe, and I appreciated that the snack and drink selection included quality options instead of just typical junk food.
We were even welcomed with complimentary drinks, which was a really nice touch. Throughout our stay, we always felt safe, and every staff member we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful.
I also loved that the lounge areas and games weren’t just there for decoration—they were actually being enjoyed by guests, making the hotel feel social and inviting. It’s clear that the Moxy was designed to bring people together while still providing a comfortable place to unwind.
This stay completely won me over. My next hotel stay will definitely be at a Moxy property. I can’t wait to experience another location, and I would highly recommend Moxy Chicago to anyone looking for a fun, stylish, and memorable stay in the city!

The hotel is clean with daily house keeping which is perfect.
The room was facing the main road so even I’m not sensitive to sound still can hear it quite clearly.
The hair dryer was missing and the house keeper aware of it when (s)he cleaned the room before we check-in. Kind of strange!
24 hours free shuttle bus to the airport is great.
A 10-minute walk from the Blue Line Cumberland Station is quite convenient. It would be very helpful if the hotel could provide walking directions from the station to the hotel. We were lucky to meet two locals early in the morning who guided us safely to the metro station. However, we saw three tourists struggling to cross the busy road and jaywalking to reach the hotel. It’s quite dangerous without any clear signs or directions for guests walking from the metro station.
There is no kettle in the room or hot flask on each floor so it’s troublesome to get hot water from the restaurant on ground floor.

Overall, I had a very good stay at this hotel. The room was comfortable, and I really liked the filtered water station on our floor. It had several options and was very convenient.
Guest services were excellent. Anytime we made a request, they handled it quickly and professionally. After the first night, housekeeping took our towels but didn’t replace them, so we had to call and ask for more. Thankfully, after that, we didn’t have any other towel issues.
Housekeeping overall was a bit different than what I’m used to. They made the beds and handled the bathroom by emptying the trash, picking up dirty towels, and refilling tissues, but they didn’t take out the trash in the main room. Since we had a lot of takeout, that trash piled up pretty quickly. They also didn’t replenish items like used tea bags or glassware, which would’ve been helpful.
We also had an issue with the fridge. It stayed warm for the first few days until we realized it hadn’t been turned on. Once we figured that out, it worked fine, but it would’ve been nice if it had been checked before we arrived.
The hotel is in a beautiful location, which added to the overall experience. Despite the few small issues, the staff was friendly and responsive, and the positives definitely outweighed the negatives. I would absolutely book with them again!

Guest UserThe hotel has a fantastic location, right at the intersection of Chicago's Chinatown, with Chinatown on both sides. There are Chinese restaurants and convenience stores all around, a Starbucks downstairs, and several banks nearby. It's just one block from the subway (Red Line) station, making it easy to walk to downtown if you're willing to explore. There's always a Chinese-speaking customer service representative at the front desk, and hot and cold drinking water is available on every floor. Highly recommended.

The hotel was in a great location. The staff was helpful and professional. When we first got there, we were confused because the hotel lobby is on the second floor, but we were directed to where we needed to go. The hairdryer in my room didn't work, so I let the front desk know so that they could get it replaced. The only thing I was a little disappointed about was that the rooftop wasn't available for guests and only for private parties. I think that it would be nice to offer to guests when the rooftop isn't rented out.

Rommel919lobby is on the 2nd floor, check in was a breeze, no need to see the passport .. just gave me the key and we were set to go
we stayed for 4 nights, but there was no Cleaning done..
i have to request for an extra towel since we are 4 in a room and they only provided for 2.
we run out of body soap in the next day and had to pick it up in the lobby , and no one came to install it .. so we just put it in the corner.. not on the wall
location was good, easy to get into public transport , if not too sensitive its a walking distance to the magnificent mile..
gym was Ok , laundry service is 3$ each cycle.. and you need to install an app to pay... and you can't load exact amount so if you are going to do a single laundry just use the credit card you pay 3.25 though, but you only pay for what you use.. apple pay or tap to pay not working.. so bring your CC with you,
another thing, if you use the app, it will let you know if the laundry is done.. but some people still don't come down to remove their clothes to need to ask the lobby to take it out and put in the rack provided
breakfast was nothing special., if you wake up late many people already and hard to find a table, and the refill is not too fast..
only a handful of variety for the food.
coffee and tea are available the whole day as long as its not yet depleted..

My Honest Experience After Reading Negative Reviews
I was initially quite hesitant to check into this hotel after reading a number of detailed and lengthy negative reviews, especially those highlighting hidden fees and cleanliness issues. However, upon arrival with my partner, I was pleasantly surprised.
The hotel was clean and well-decorated, with a modern and cohesive style. Our check-in process was fast and efficient, and the receptionist was friendly and happy to answer all of our questions—especially about the fees mentioned on the hotel’s website.
One of the main issues people seem to bring up is the so-called “hidden” fees. In my experience, these fees are not actually hidden—they’re listed on the hotel’s official website. That said, they could definitely be communicated more clearly. It’s important to read the fine print when booking and during check-in. While the fees may not be obvious at first glance, the hotel is legally allowed to include them since they are technically disclosed.
Our room was spacious and comfortable, with enough space to hang clothes. There were multiple hangers, and the locker-style closets matched the hotel’s sporty decor. The floor and bathroom were clean overall, though I did spot a spider in the corner of the shower—but nothing alarming.
The downstairs common area includes an open kitchen with a communal fridge and even a crockpot, which was a nice surprise. There were also several games available, like ping pong and air hockey, which makes this place family- and couple-friendly.
Guests are allowed to enjoy drinks provided in the kitchen. If you’re sensitive to noise, particularly trains, I recommend requesting a room farther down the hall on the first floor. Our room was in a quiet spot—I barely noticed the train, and when I did, it was more like soft white noise. Still, bringing earplugs might help if you’re a light sleeper.
Overall, I recommend this hotel. It’s in a nice area, the decor is visually appealing, and the stay was enjoyable. Just be aware of a $120 refundable deposit (if no damage is done to the room) and an additional $50 guest fee. Knowing that ahead of time helps avoid surprises.
I’m very grateful for the pleasant stay and would return again.

I was to pay 117 at check in per room. Hotel made me par 285 for something I didn’t have time to use which was tickets to attractions and that fee included a fee for checking out. ..49 a room for coupons snd 65 per room check out fee. Our car was too tall for the 85.00 a night parking but the garage at the corner only charged 58.00 a night. I wouldn’t recommend driving downtown Chicago unless you like being stressed out. I’m asking trip.com to reimburse the difference between the 117 and 185.
