The Palmer House Hilton

I will never stay in this hotel again. The cleaner was so "open" that he put his cleaning gloves on my towel. It was disgusting. The room was small, the air conditioner was noisy, and the hygiene was very poor... When checking in, there was a paid activity that I had to participate in, which cost $25 per room per day. They said it would be refunded later... I haven't received it yet. The hotel doesn't even have a decent restaurant, which is really weird

The room is small and has complete facilities, but it is really smaller than a hotel in Hong Kong. It is a row of densely packed pocket rooms with poor sound insulation. There is absolutely no service at the front desk. Highly not recommended!

Very good location. The rooms are a bit classic but the beds are comfortable and the central location is perfect for a leisure or family trip.

I used it from the suburbs of Chicago to play downtown. Conveniently located near Willis Tower and the Art Institute of Chicago. The lobby was very nice with high ceilings and luxurious European style interiors. I stayed for one night, but they gave me two 500ml bottles of water when I checked in. When I went to the front desk because I couldn't connect to the wifi, I was told that I couldn't use it unless I was a Hilton member, so after registering I could only use it in the lobby. Registration didn't go well, so I tried many times on the front PC, and finally I was able to use it. There was a charge to use it in the room, so I registered as a free member and used it only in the lobby (available 24 hours). It seems that one free drink was included in the amount paid at the front desk on the day due to taxes, etc., but I was disappointed that I didn't know about it and found out when I checked out (Is it okay if I don't use it?). (Maybe I didn't notice because I couldn't understand the English spoken at check-in).

Hilton Hotel, a long-established hotel with more than 150 years of history, has a noble and old-fashioned American style, and is located in a very central location. However, there is no shuttle bus to and from the hotel airport. There are no USB charging ports in the guest rooms, and the electrical sockets are old and useless. There are more than a dozen of them that cannot be used to get electricity. I looked for room service for half an hour and no one was there. After answering the call, I went to the lobby to find the front desk. When there were a large number of guests checking in, the front desk staff said that she didn't have one and would ask the room service staff for help. She asked them to go back to the guest room to wait. As a result, no staff came until I went to bed. Stayed for five nights. On the third night, the front desk manager, a Chinese-American Jingran, spoke English to me, a Hong Kong boy, and suddenly asked to change rooms the next day. Jing changed rooms before 3 pm on the day after finishing the marathon. The second time After running a marathon the same day, I couldn't get the room card to open the door. I went to the lobby to change it and asked the bellman to help carry my luggage. As a result, we had to wait again, and no staff came to help, so we moved by ourselves, dragging two large bags. I was so tired that night that I had dinner in the hotel, took a shower and went to bed. The next day I opened my luggage and looked for cash and credit cards, but they were missing. I told the room staff, and she told the security guard. After a while, a security guard came and said that they had checked in the guest room where I stayed before. After searching, I didn't find anything left behind. I called my supervisor and told me that since there was no surveillance video in the corridor on the floor, I couldn't find who had entered my room. I was told to go to the nearby police station to report the incident. For HK$3,800 a night, it’s so sad to see such a service level in a well-established famous restaurant. 2023.10
