The hotel is at a great location. It’s near to the marathon start & finish lines. Close to cinema & musical venues. Near to trains as well. Amenities is basic: no slippers, bathrobes or tea bags. We needed to borrow a kettle to boil hot water. Room was very expensive as we stayed during the marathon dates. Since we are running the marathon, we have no choice but to pay the high room charges.

I like to give thank to the staff at Chicago tavern state lake. The staff Karen, Kevin, miguel, and manager miguel. They did an above and beyond service for me. Recommended a dish. The chiefs prepared it great. It was delicious. If you’re in Chicago please visit here. They are friendly and the hospitality is amazing. Thank you guys I will be returning to try more stuff off the menu.

My friend Sarah and I came and had a blast. Miguel is an amazing bartender! The staff as a whole was super nice and very accommodating. A great central location, especially after a long day of shopping. Next time you come to Chicago don’t skip over this place!

The staff at the State and Lake Chicago Tavern, located inside the hotel, were very accommodating and friendly. I arrived from PA in the late AM and too early for check in. The general manager, Mario, and his staff made my wait very comfortable.

Beautiful corner room - lovely decor and good pillow selection. Very nice hotel, the staff were friendly although i did have to ask for the resort charge to be applied to our dining. Location is right beside the CTA entry exit for green line so was perfect for us and only one block walk to Blue line for airport. Rooftop happy hour was fun - recommend booking as it got busy. One block to river so is nicely situated. Downtown is noisy so be prepared for sirens and trains but it didn’t disturb our sleep. Only thing that did that is the closing of door for room next door - they are very heavy and consequently crash shut. Five stars - probably wouldn’t stay again as didn’t feel it was value for money but we enjoyed it nevertheless.

Mario was amazing , Kevin was super accommodating! I loved all of my drinks , I actually came back today because the service I received was so phenomenal, this is my first time in Chicago and the hospitality here is making me fall even harder in love with this city
