All in all, a pleasant stay, and a good location to be around many of the touristy things to do in downtown Chicago. The staff was friendly and helpful. My biggest complaint is the cost of parking ($75 per day!).

Very good location at River North. Average hotel, good for couple of nights of sightseeing. Loud A/C. No daily cleaning unless requested.

It's a nice place, conveniently located and friendly staff. The WiFi was very spotty until they fixed it for the duration of our stay. Hot water was also intermittent, alternating between hot and cold in the mornings. Overall it's still a nice place to stay.

Antwonne was an exceptional memeber of your staff. He went out of his way to make us feel at home and anticipated our needs before we did. Our experience at the Royal Sonesta was excellent. Upon arrival we were greeted by Antwonne who got us to our room with all our things and made sure that we had everything we needed. He also presented me with a complimentary bottle of wine for my birthday celebration. 🍾 We encountered Antwonne a few times throughout our stay; he always had recommendations for dining and night life. All staff that we encountered were very friendly and always helpful. The facility was very clean and appeared well-maintained. And, Antwonne made sure to take good care of my Fedora. 👏🏽

The hotel is good, in a nice location, a bit old, the employees are very nice, special thanks to Gabby from reception, and all her colleagues in the entire hotel. They were all very helpful and smile all the time. My only comment is that breakfast is expensive in the hotel, a boiled egg for 3 dollars plus tax.

Be aware there is no parking of any kind at this hotel. There is self paid parking within walking distance but this was not very clear. Also, really wish there was a coffee pot in the room. Free bottled water in the room daily was nice, the bed was comfortable, loved the spa tub, restaurant and bar were great.
