Stayed here with family and friends while in visiting Chi. Nice looking old pub. The staff were very friendly if you're to them. Bit of a local pub for local people if you know what I mean. Few things to mention. Most of the staff are very helpful and friendly. The guy who met us for check-in at the restruant bit came over to us while eating food, no hello. "Someone seeing to you?" No information given (checkout time, breakfast time etc) He reluctantly showed us to our rooms. The rooms themselves were fine. Clean, tidy but a bit hot. Some wear and tear but nothing really to moan about. Expect noise as it's a pub at the end of the day. Never bothered me. If you're situated at the front, there's a busy road with heavy traffic. Again, that didn't bother me as I knew what it was and where it was. The staff (apart from that guy) were brilliant. Very kind and helpful. Big up to Caroline, Tom, Benn and Joe in particular. Breakfast was nice. (Make sure to ask for beans) Overheard some folks complain about the eggs not being cooked enough. I don't not sure. I only eat the yoke anyways. Great location, parking around the back (but pricey) I would certainly stay again and I expended my stay for 2 more nights. All in all a great place to stay.
