Chichester Inn

This is a great place to stay for a visit to Chichester. Very convenient location next to the cathedral and the town centre. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious with a good choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurt and cooked options. The staff are very pleasant and extremely helpful. The free parking is a bonus. We'll definitely be back.

Great location for visiting Chichester. Car park and fresh cooked breakfast included in price made this a relaxing break.

I was made to feel so welcome on arrival and throughout my stay. The inn is well positioned being so close to the centre and within easy walking distance to eating places and attractions.

We dropped in for early evening drinks, expensive but ok as we were enjoying ourselves. Naturally became a little peckish around 7.00 and tried to order four specials … ‘sorry sold out’. OK fair enough, it was a bank holiday. Another round and then bar snacks… chile squid and cheesy chips …. Delicious.. so at 7.45 we tried to order more…. ‘ sorry, kitchen is closed’! The Chi Inn is rooted in the seventies, it’s as if they are doing you a favour by serving you. The bar was empty by 8.00 so presumably they do not need the custom. So sorry to be negative, I know that they have hosted some great music nights, but I do think that a little more ‘ hospitality’ would be appreciated.

Great location, has the advantage of free parking. Very friendly staff. Room had all you need including complimentary drinks and toiletries.

Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Good location with on-site parking. Shower not so good and it would have been useful to have had a non-slip mat.

Met a social meet up group today. Disappointing attitude from young barman on today (or manager? Hope not) Told someone off for having a small flask of water with them after we'd all spent £££ this afternoon on food and drink. ...friend tripped up on carpet on stage and fell over. Uncaring and mocking attitude. Smarmy looks and whispers to the regulars making me feel uncomfortable. (Yes.. dont think i didnt notice. ) You need to grow up and learn some compassion dear boy.

Was charged £4.25 for a blackcurrant and soda. Absolutely insane markup. Even with Chichester business rent prices there is zero occasion where you can justify charging that amount. There was hardly any difference between that and their cheapest beer. I've worked in bars and pubs and restaurants for years and at the most that drink will have cost about 20p give or take. The staff also seem young, clueless and poorly trained. Didn't have answers to the most basic of questions. I have to say though, despite the few faults, we have encountered a gentleman who I believe is the landlord and he is incredibly friendly and despite being there late on a few occasions we've felt very little pressure to have to leave immediately (and my friends are notorious for taking a while to leave ha!).

Lovely Sunday roast, one of the best with crispy roast potatoes, swede, cauliflower, parsnips, carrots, Yorkshire and succulent beef. If only I had room for dessert. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Will certainly come back with the family.
