Reception is kind response. Stayed in the single of the main building. The facilities were a bit old but the cleaning was well done. The large bath was located in 6F, and the men's ／ women's replacement at night and morning, and the open-air bath was a little narrow, but there were few people, so I was able to take a bath comfortably. The annex building is an old building and the rooms are older, but you can use the bathhouse on the 14th floor of the main building. The entire Suwa Lake comes into view, so beautiful and enjoyable. They were both courses and delicious. Service? Well, this is what makes all the difference. When we book hotels we need to detail my daughter's food allergies which are serious. For this trip we had booked many hotels in a row and for some reason when we booked Shinyu and checked-in we just forgot. It was our fault and when we sat for dinner we saw her prepared meal that she obviously could not eat. The staff at Shinyu didn't miss a beat. The didn't make a big deal about it. No stress. The quickly adjusted and made a wonderful dinner for my daughter and also prepared for her breakfast in similar fashion. Wonderful. Such great service. Maybe the building isn't perfect. But the service was perfect. Shinyu was our last stop on our trip and we left with a smile. Shinyu gets an ”Excellent” from my family.

The public bath was also very good. I thought it was crowded at night and used it early in the morning, so it was almost rental.
