1. The location of the hotel is very good. In the center of Chipping Campden, there is a public parking lot next to it, and parking is very convenient. But be sure to pay attention to the address when navigating. There is another hotel in the same area with the same name in front of it. 2. On the day I arrived, the hotel temporarily informed me that there was something wrong with my room, so I was transferred to another higher-level hotel in the suburbs. The environment and facilities were indeed better.

We stayed her for a couple of nights and found it to be a beautiful little gem. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with stunning toiletries available to use in the bathrooms. The food was outstanding, and service we couldn’t fault. Breakfast was just as delicious, lots of choice and great atmosphere. We will return for sure.

Beautiful location and a stunning building, with very stylish decor. The hotel is full of character, with gorgeous stairs and small windy corridors. The staff are wonderful. Food at dinner and breakfast was excellent. The room was big, with a huge bathroom but without a shower. However the bath was gorgeous. Had to run the taps for 10 mins to get hot water for the bath, although it was only tepid. A little disappointing. The spa was clean and welcoming with a lovely pool allbeit small. I love how the spa allocates you a time, so it doesn't get crowded. Best massage and facial I have ever had. A discretionary 10% service charge of £51 was added at checkout, which I dont agree with and it was removed when requested. Will definitely be returning.

We recently completed a 3 night stay at the Cotswold House. The hotel is in a great location in the lovely town of Chipping Campden. Check-in was easy, and there was ample parking in the back . We booked a junior suite - ours was on the first floor (2nd floor for us Americans). The room was clean and bright, with a nice view to the back. The bathroom, while large, had three issues. First, it needs a bit of updating - some peeling paint, a weird tv with fake fireplace (out of keeping with the ambiance), and a strange ceiling installation that either needed repairing or removal (also out of keeping). Second (and harder to fix), was the bathroom is 2 steps down upon opening door to bathroom - really dangerous for nocturnal visits to the bathroom (we ended up keeping the bathroom light on to remind ourselves). Someone else described these as “******* steps” - and I have to agree - I would suggest adding floor level lighting that automatically go on when the door opens. Finally - and worst of all - we had major issues with water. We either had no water, or cold/tepid water. I complained about this the first morning - and the person at the desk said they would have maintenance address. Later that day it still wasn’t working and I enquires again - different person, but they said they would address (didn’t happen). After my third request the maintenance man showed up and said they had water issues in the morning, but they had been addressed. That turned out not to be the case as we never had a good shower for our entire stay (and I would argue this is a fundamental requirement of any hotel). As for dining, we didn’t try either restaurant for lunch or dinner (the bistro looked nice but I wanted a cask ale and none to be found at the bistro), but did have breakfast. Breakfast food was great - but service on the first morning (a Saturday) was abysmal. We were quickly seated, and order taken for coffee. However it ultimately took 25 min to get our coffee. It appeared that drinks and toast orders were going to the wrong tables, then corrected incorrectly - it was a bit of a farce. Service was better on Sunday and Monday breakfast. Upon checkout, we noted the water issues and were given a small spa credit to mitigate the issue. A nice hotel - and we would try again - but needs some work on service and room.

We had a wonderful getaway at the hotel. We were very pleased with the room - it was a cottage junior suite and we liked how we had our own space as it spanned the length of the cottage upstairs.

What a fantastic hotel! The location, food and Spa couldn’t have been better. The moment we walked into reception we were greeted with a smile…first impressions are everything. Our room was a good size and very clean. I can imagine the gardens are beautiful in the summer but was still a lovely walk up to the Spa. The Spa was small but perfect for a quick dip and relaxation before dinner. Our massages were excellent. You will definitely see us again!

We went mid week and had a lovely time. We booked a package including spa treatments and tea which turned out to be a good decision as we were looked after from start to finish. The staff are so attentive and made us feel special. Mitchell and Christian deserve a special mention and they made us yummy cocktails :)! The spa experience was good and did the trick in making us feel relaxed and lying by the pool I literally fell asleep after my treatment. We did not eat in the main restaurant by in the more casual brasserie but food was excellent, especially the triple cooked chips (not so good for the diet though ha ha). Though it rained for most of the time we were there it did clear up long enough for my partner and I to explore the quaint traditional town which could not be more "Cotswolds". We will definitely be back again.

Lovely hotel. Friendly staff with lots of smiles. Made to feel welcome. Excellent location for a short escape from London. Room spotless and comfy. Food good and cocktails sublime. Did not use spa this time so can’t comment but we will return to try it out for sure. Bit pricey but for a treat, well worth it.
